Deadline to apply for Public Assistance this Friday Broome County Executive Patrick Brennan is reminding public entities, including not for profit corporations, who were impacted by Tropical Storm Lee that the deadline to file for Public Assistance is this Friday, October 28th. Many not for profit organizations were affected by flooding or have been providing relief of one sort or another. These agencies may qualify for FEMAs public assistance program, said Brennan. Any government or not for profit corporation that was affected or provided relief should contact the New York State Office of Emergency Management, Disaster Assistance Coordinator to find out if they qualify.
