Intermediate QA Engineer Server Automation, Virtualization Team

In ClujNapoca, the HP Software R&D team currently counts more than 100 software engineers (developers, QA, technical support) working on multiple HP Software products like HP Server Automation, HP Live Network, HP Business Service Automation Essentials, HP Universal CMDB, and HP Operations Orchestration. HP Server Automation software is a market leading enterprise product that provides lifecycle management for servers (physical and virtual) and applications. This includes bare-metal provisioning, patch management, software deployment, configuration management, code deployment and rollback, audit and compliance. HP Server Automation manages Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux (Red Hat and SuSE), AIX and HP-UX systems. Job Description Each QA engineer owns a high impact part of the product and is responsible in providing quality assurance services for every step in that features development, from design and implementation, to maintenance. QA engineers have to interact effectively with peers, management, cross-functional and cross-site teams, to address and advocate applications quality issues. QA engineers will need to acquire a wide range of technical skills in their work: deep understanding of infrastructure components, usage of existing back end automation framework, implementation of API testing (python), and learning different virtualization solutions and tools.

Job Requirements A bachelor or above degree in computer-related fields (computer science, telecom) More than 3 years of experience in software testing, working on distributed system is a plus Able to translate the technical documentation into effective test cases and E2E test scenarios Able to analyze and design/define complex test scenarios for frontend and backend functionality Able to install and configure servers, deploy builds, troubleshoot basic environment issues Self managed, quick learner, passionate about testing and oriented towards technical aspects Experience with tests automation tools or programming knowledge/experience is a plus
