The Canadian Independent School District Board of Education met in special session on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. in the Santa Fe Room at the Railhead Restaurant at 220 N. 2nd Street, Canadian, Texas. Those present were: Mitch Ashley, Randy Walser, Larry Gatlin, John C. Isaacs, Allen Hadaway, Salem Abraham, Ken King, Superintendent, Frank Belcher, Hemphill County Hospital Administrator, Robert Ezzell, City of Canadian Mayor, John Baker, City Council Members, Milton Cooke and Cassi Rash, City Manager, Colby Waters, City Secretary, Terri South, City Public Works Director, Hoyt Manning, Hemphill County Judge, Steve Vandiver, Hemphill County Commissioners, Leonard Schafer, Joe Schaef, Mark Meek and Ed Culver, EDC Director, Tamera Julian, EDC Board Members, Mike Arrington and Kyle Altmiller, Canadian Record Editor, Laurie Brown, John McGarr, Barry Sims and George Briant. REPORTS/DISCUSSION ITEMS The group discussed current and future plans for possible projects as joint ventures. The next regular CISD board meeting will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
