Why would someone work here?

1. Company believes in the policy of enabling employees to participate in the ownership of the Company, currently it has nine stock option schemes (ESOPS) in force. 2. Personnel expense is approx 20% of total expense for FY 11-12 for 121 employees on the payroll of the Company as on March 31, 2011, which indicates that remuneration is good 3. Viacom18 was adjudged as Indias best company to work for, in the Media and Entertainment sector, by the US-based research and management consultancy company Great Place to Work Institute (GPWI) in 2010. 4. Open culture which promotes creativity and flexibility, lesser bureaucracy and lesser hierarchies. 5. Organization structure is flat which ensures visibility, responsiveness and focus. 6. Employees are encouraged to contribute money voluntarily towards supporting a colleagues dire need which could be a family crisis or a severe medical reason. The company also steps in to help in such cases.

Why would society allow us to operate? 1. Knowledge and information dissemination: it provides information on financial issues, stocks, products and corporate. 2. Provider of entertainment: it provides entertainment to the viewers; also it acts as a platform for the companies to interact with their target customers via advertisements. 3. Generating jobs and opportunities: it provides jobs as well as opportunities to persons to showcase their talents in reality shows. 4. Media: it acts as the fourth pillar of democracy by being responsible and providing relevant information to the citizens of this country 5. Making society to look at social issues differently by educating and providing a different point of view on the issues. 6. CSR activities: to be a responsible corporate citizen a. SUCES (Supporting Child Education of Staff): This program is aimed at aiding the education of children of our lowest rung employees, the staff. These are typically drivers, peons, riders, etc. whose low income does not help much with the well being and education of their children. b. Support to NGOs: The Company allows various NGOs to put stalls in the company premises which aid the agencies to sell their products, attain membership of our employees and join hands towards the cause, donate books & clothes, etc. 7. Environmental friendly value chain: although effects of broadcasting radiations are debatable, but environmental footprints are minimal throughout the entire value chain .
