Exist for the sole purpose of telling their reader what to do in a clearly specified situation.

Part Function Title : Quick Fudge To introduce the recipe. Part 1 : Ingredients To list out the things the pupils need to have to make the desert. To tell the quantity of the ingredients needed. Part 2 : What to do To guide the pupils the correct steps in preparing the desert. To show to pupils the correct action verb that they need to do while dealing with certain ingredients

To simplify the sentences. to be understood by the pupils.

tells the pupils what they need to do precisely.

Q3 : Identify a possible teaching focus and the kind of support/scaffolding you can give to your pupils to help them write their own text successfully.

Action and sequence connector.

Rearrange the text with correct sentence connector such as firstly, secondly, thirdly, next etc. replacing the numbering. Teacher can scaffold the pupils by allowing them to refer to dictionary to search for words the do not know.
