If the Albany political bosses had their way, their hand-picked puppet would already be on his way to the Senate chamber to rubber stamp the backroom deals they cut months ago. But conservative Republican Juan Reyes is determined to stop them in the Primary Election on September 13 and he needs your help.
Juan (pronounced wahn) is running to give voters a choice and our Queens neighborhoods a real voice in Albany. Juan will be an independent, conservative voice in the Senate, ghting against higher taxes, wasteful spending, and nutty liberal ideas that New York has become famous for you know, like the ridiculous plans to decriminalize marijuana but ban soda.

Sadly, Albany politicians in both parties have put their own interests rst. The result has been the loss of tens of thousands of jobs, higher taxes, falling test scores and graduation rates, and more and more people leaving New York each year to got to other states.

An attorney, he worked in Washington for Senator Bob Dole, and Donald Rumsfeld, our former Defense Secretary. When Juan returned to NYC he joined the Giuliani Administration, working at the Department of Youth Services as Deputy General Counsel, and later as a Counsel in the Ofce of the Mayor, and then as a General Counsel at the Board of Standards and Appeals. A partner at the prestigious international law rm of Reed Smith LLP working in the Business , & Finance and Real Estate Departments, he chairs their Land Use and Zoning division. Juan has been married to Meaghan OBrienReyes for ten years. They live in Forest Hills with their three daughters, and their dog, Nugget.

A future for our children

Juan Reyes wants to use the experience he gained working for Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Senator Bob Dole, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to bring jobs and growth back to the Empire State, so his daughters and all our children can have a future right here. Most of Juans family came to America from Ireland and Italy in the early 20th century, hoping for a better life for their children and grandchildren. Juan is proud that all of his ancestors came to our country legally. Juan attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and Saint Davids School for Boys. He went to the Browning School for Boys and Emory University, graduating from Quinnipiac Law School.

Learning from Rudys leadership

Juan Reyes served as General Counsel (the top attorney) to several city agencies during the Giuliani Administration, and Juan learned from Rudy himself the importance of making tough decisions to protect our families and our neighborhoods, and to enable real economic growth and job creation.

Restore the death penalty, and give cops the tools to ght 21st century crime like terrorism and internet fraud. Create jobs by lowering state taxes and ending the anti-business attitudes that have destroyed New Yorks economy.
