    OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR Jesse Oakley III, DTM

    July 1, 2012 As one chapter ends, another one begins. People of District 33 Toastmasters, this quote rings true for many people. It also rings true for me in many ways. As I write this message to you, I would like to say that it is an honor to step up to this role and serve the Toastmasters communities of southern Nevada and central California. As we begin this chapter, let it be known that we have the ability to be superstars and write our own success stories for the 2012-2013 year. Whether it is by pen, paper, or a simple vision, we can be successful in anything we do. All we have to do is stand up and take action. My personal vision for this District lies in four words Unity in the Community. I believe that great success can be attained when we all come together to learn, share, and grow. With Unity in the Community, we can reach a plethora of goals on many levels. Whether it is individual, club, area, division, or district, together we can make it happen as we go beyond Distinguished!! There are so many opportunities lining up for us as we embrace this new year with the greatest hopes. In cooperation with the Lt. Governor Education and Training Kathy Choate and Lt. Governor Marketing Katy Porter, we came up with brand new incentives for everyone in this District. These incentives will allow you to either be a Superstar, a Champion, or have you Going for the Gold!! They will be announced very soon as they come to a community near you!! In addition, we have plenty of programs that will ensure great success within our District. From the Club Coach program to C.R.A.F.T to Youth Leadership, these programs will bring support and assistance for our rebuilding communities and strengthen stronger ones. As a strong community, we also have opportunities that can only be described in two words HAVING FUN!! Whether it is through conferences, open houses, local networking events, or block parties, we have opportunities to show what Toastmasters is all about. People of District 33 Toastmasters, I need your help in making Unity in the Community work for all of us. Together we can make this happen!! Here is to a successful year for each and every one of us in District 33 Toastmasters!! That is all I have for now. Take care and thank you for your time and attention.
