Five men were killed by British soldiers during a riot in Boston on March 5, 1770. The riot began when colonists provoked British soldiers who were enforcing the unpopular Stamp Act, requiring taxes on printed materials. Tensions rose between the colonists wearing everyday clothing and the British soldiers in their red coats in front of the Custom House. While the riot could lead to change in the oppressive British taxation, the killing of five men was unnecessary given it started due to the Stamp Act.

THE BRITISH KILL FIVE MEN It all started out with a bunch of colonists provoking British soldiers that were trying to enforce the absurd Stamp Act that Parliament passed. The British were wearing their Red Coats and the colonists were wearing everyday clothing. It took place in front of the Custom House. It got very hostile after a while. This Stamp Act that Parliament is passing is ridiculous. This stamp/seal is now on all legal documents, magazines, newspapers, and all other paper products in the colonies. We shouldnt have to be t a x e d t h i s mu c h by t h e B r i t i s h government. This rebellion in Boston could possibly lead to change. I dont think think those ve men should have been killed due to this ght though. This riot between the British and the colonists would have never happened if the British never had the unnecessary Stamp Act.
The British have gone too far!
