Anti-Social Behaviour Patrols

Historically Gatley has a problem with anti-social behaviour in the summer months. As a result the Gatley team has put together a patrol plan to combat the hot spot areas. These include Scholes Park, Beech Avenue, Church Road, Skate Board Park and Gatley Hill. Gatley has already seen a significant reduction in the amount of anti-social behaviour calls we have received.

Business Watch Gatley

Due to amount of shoplifting in Gatley we have been working together with the businesses in the area by setting up a business watch and holding regular meetings with owners and managers. As part of the business watch scheme each shop has been issued a folder with photos of criminals that have committed shoplifting and theft offences in the area to help the shop owners identify and deter offenders. This has resulted in a number of shoplifters being identified and arrested and has also become a deterrent to the local offenders who are now avoiding the Gatley area.

Gatley Festival
We will be attending Gatley Festival on 1st July 2012 and will be hoping to see as good a turnout as last year. This is also your chance to come and have a chat with your neighbourhood officers. Dedicated Gatley Officers-
