Eddie Neylon is a marine engineer by profession. With 25 years experience in
the Industry. including chief engineer appointments on both steam and motor
vessels, and shoreside management of shipping and subsea companies,
Eddie is now managing the Subsea Operations Division of Cable & Wireless
Marine Ltd.
His portfolio of achievements include project management of subsea
technology innovations and development, involvement in the design &
building of vessels and equipment, and is now currently proactive in the
development of training methodology within the Subsea Industry.ABOUT THE AUTHOR,

Chris Bell is a Chartered Engineer with 15 years experience as an ROV Superintendent
Chris was responsible for the development of the presently recognised induction courses
‘that are now seen as an industry standard and are an IMCA (International Marine
Contractors Association) requirement for the enay of new ives ty tre iaustsy.
Chris was also responsible for the first CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Weldment
Inspection ¥ersonnel) 3.3u ROV Inspectors courses which qualify ROV yessuniel to be
responsible for platform and pipeline inspection work carried out by ROV.
Chris now has his own successful ROV persomiel company which specialises in the
recruitment, training and provision of company and agency personnel. This company
(SubServ) is involved with all aspects of training and recruitment providing a complete
Service that aims to ensure personnel competecy th vuyhvut the ROV industry
