The high cost of insecticide and pesticide makes people specially farmers resort to the use of alternative pest and insect killers. Extract from the plants like the flowers, fruits, stem or leaves may help solve this famers dilemma. This study investigated the effectiveness of Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) leaves as insecticide and pesticide. Specifically, the study is tested to prove the following hypotheses: 1. Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) leaves is effective in killing pest and insects. 2. Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) leaves can be compared with any commercial insecticides and pesticides in its effectiveness in killing pest and insects in plants. This study used Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) leaves in killing pest and insects in plants. Two plants with pest and insects were used in the experiment. The one plant was sprayed by commercial insecticide and pesticide described as Brodan. The other plant was aprayed by Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) insecticide and pesticide. The experiment was done in two trials. The recoded conclusions revealed that the Kakawate (Gliridia Sepium) leaves are effective in killing pest and insects thus an effective insecticide and pesticide. It is as effective as other insecticide and pesticide todays.
