Group Structure
Role a set of expected behavior patterns in a social unit. Role Identity is certain attitudes & behaviors consistent with a role. Role Perception is an individuals view of how he or she is supposed to act in given situation. Role Expectation is how others believe a person should act in a given situation.

Issues
Conformity is adjusting ones behavior to align with the norms of the group. Status a socially defined position or rank given to groups or group members by others. Cohorts individuals who as a part of group hold a common attribute. Cohesiveness is the degree to which group members are attracted to each other and are motivated to stay in the group.

Issues
Group think a phenomenon in which the norms for consensus overrides the realistic appraisal of alternative courses of action. Group shift shifting to the decision of stronger individual.
