Study Island ASSIGNMENT Steps

1. Log-on to the C-TEC network using the credentials supplied to you in your Student Handbook a. user name format- last name period first name (for example: holton.kay) b. password- assigned color and number combination (for example: pink23) 2. From the Start Menu, select Internet Explorer 3. Type www.studyisland.com in the task bar and press the Enter key on the keyboard 4. Under MEMBER LOGIN on the left side of the screen, enter: a. User name = first letter period last name @c-tec example: k.holton@c-tec

b. password = password you created (see the teacher if you dont remember your password) c. click SUBMIT 5. Click on MY CLASSES on the left side of the screen 6. Click on todays science class assignment (scroll to the last assignment on the list) 7. Read assignment title, date assigned, date due, and additional information 8. Click on lesson (beside the lesson title) 9. Read the lesson 10. Click Start Studying (on right side of screen) 11. Change the drop-down menu to the number of assigned questions (found in additional information) 12. Click Next 13. Complete the questions carefully- you may open a new internet tab and search for information which will help you answer the questions and you may use your book to help you answer questions 14. Complete all assigned lessons and questions 15. You may repeat the questions to improve your score 16. Remember that you are being graded on the percentage of questions answered correctly and the number of questions completed (did you complete the number of questions assigned?) 17. The completion report will be accessed at 8:00 A.M. the next school day, so you have until then to complete the assignment REMEMBER: Study Island may be completed on any computer with internet access
