Lesson plan Date: May 30, 2012 Skill: Vocabulary, speaking, writing Expected Outcomes: Students will be able

to identify key vocabulary items. Students will be able to create meaningful sentences using appropriate vocabulary. Students will be able to produce sentences orally. Resources: Whiteboard, whiteboard marker, dictionary, pictures. Class Introduction Students comment on habits they believe to be unhealthy. Core of the class Pre-stage Students comment on healthy habits that they have. Students comment on unhealthy habits that they have. While-stage Students match concepts and pictures. Students write sentences about specific pictures. Post-stage Students check their work orally with help from the teacher. Closing Students check the contents of the class by answering direct questions about vocabulary. Time Comments Level: 8th Grade
