Brainstorm / Prioritise / Scope (in first week) Develop purpose statement Decide on tools/techniques for your project Develop a change plan - observe a structured approach Share your progress with team Commit to project review in 3 to 5 weeks

In small groups:
Discuss the issues you need to resolve to meet and exceed the needs of your job What type of problems are involved? Brainstorm issues which need resolution and could require a project

Project Purpose Statement


Provide a clear and concise purpose statement of What the project will achieve
Describe the Strategy you will use to achieve the objective How to deliver.

Reporting - Use a Master Schedule


Create a Master Schedule at the appropriate level for the project, using the method given during the course. This is the first step after the project is agreed. Provide details of Mentor/ Mentee sessions and actions. Keep the MS up to date show the timelines and actions taken to keep/ put the project back on time.

Reporting with Value Stream Maps


If a value stream is being analysed, then Complete a Current State Map.
Identify waste in the system in the form of the Seven Wastes

Complete a Future State Map.


Highlight the lean tools used to combat the Seven Wastes QTC, QPS, Error Proofing, Visual Factory, Standardised Working etc
