Planning and Growth Management Staff Nancy Schepers and John Moser Staffs Professionalism and Dedication

Good afternoon, during the recent debate over the Citys new Lobbyist Registry, focus was placed on meetings between Planning and Growth Management staff and members of the development industry. Unfortunately, as part of this debate, there were some unfair suggestions that staff are not always looking out for the public interest during interactions with developers. We want each and every one of you to know that we do not agree with this assertion. Through your work and in one-on-one dealings, we know staff bring a high degree of professionalism and a dedication to the public interest. We also know that you continually demonstrate these qualities under difficult circumstances often involving public scrutiny of your professional opinions. Your work in response to Council direction is contributing to a more modern, compact and efficient city. Thank you.
