Lord,
God the Word Who existed before the Ages, Who covers Thyself with Light as with a garment, O Lord, Thou were Transfigured before the eyes of Thy Disciples and shone, O Logos, more brightly than the sun. Moses and Elijah stood by Thee betokening that Thou art truly the Lord of both the dead and the living. And they glorified Thine Ineffable Mercy and Dispensation and Thy Great Condescension whereby Thou hast Saved the world that was lost in transgressions and perishing through sin. Him with tuneful cymbals; praise Him with loud cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Thy Disciples were there with Thee, together, the Voice of the Father explicitly declared that Thou art His own Beloved Son, the same in Essence, sharing the same Throne, in Whom He is well pleased, Thou Who from a Virgin were born becoming Man, and were Transfigured, O Sovereign Lord, upon Mount Tabor, and were encompassed with a bright shining Cloud. Wherefore Peter in astonishment said: O Master, it is good that we are here... not knowing what he was saying, O Benefactor rich in Mercy.
Many are they that rise against me. Many there be that say of my soul,
There is no help for him in his God.
