C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram has been engaged in application oriented research, design, development and
technology transfer in the field of Electronics and Information Technology. Over the years, the Centre has acquired high competency, expertise and experience in the areas of Control & Instrumentation, Broadcast & Communications, Cyber Forensics, Telemedicine, Networking, Power Electronics, VLSI/ASIC Design and Underwater Electronics, with extensive design and deployment of software meta-resources for the projects undertaken. C-DAC(T) holds its Quality Management System to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Software Training and Development Centre (STDC) focuses on generation of quality manpower in advanced software areas, imparting high-level training on IBM Mainframe, Client Server computing, Networking, Database Technology, Embedded Systems, VLSI design and other advanced areas of Information Technology, forging ahead strong training partnership with RedHat Linux. STDC, a major Division of C-DAC has been in the forefront of Training since 1992.

Course Content Eligibility

BE / B Tech / MCA from a recognized Institute or University Large System Overview TSO /ISPF MVS Overview JCL and Utilities Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM)

COBOL for Mainframe DB2 Fundamentals & SQL DB2 Application Programming Customer Information Control System Case Study

Course Duration
9 Weeks Full Time Monday to Friday 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM

Pre-requisite
Knowledge in COBOL Programming (A preparatory COBOL Programming course is offered as option before Mainframe Training)

Course Fee
Rs 42,000/- + Service Tax @ 12.36% (Total Rs 47,191/- Rupees Forty Seven Thousand One Hundred and Ninty One only). Fee once paid, is nonrefundable due to any reason.

Selection Procedure
Admission is based on the performance at the Written Test/Interview. (The Test/Interview is to assess the competence of the candidate in General Aptitute, Computer fundamentals, OS Concepts, Programming Awareness and DBMS Concepts. Merely qualifying at the written test does not entitle the applicants admission to the programme.)

Performance Evaluation
The progress of the trainees is evaluated on their performance in theory and practicals. C-DAC awards certificates to the trainees upon successful completion of the course. Minimum attendance of 90% is mandatory. An appropriated grading system is employed in the assessment of performance.

How to Register
Registration may be done by applying in the prescribed form (can be downloaded from website), duly filled, along with a Demand Draft drawn in favour of C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram or Chalan (facility available in the Syndicate Bank, C-DAC Campus) for a non-refundable amount of Rs 562/- (inclusive of 12.36% Service Tax) as Registration Fee.

Placement Assistance
Placement Assistance is provided to the students of various courses of STDC, however STDC does not guarantee placements, Campus recruitment by companies are governed by the recruitment policies of the company.
