s Action: Multilateral School Partnership Project title: We are surrounded by water, but there is no drop to drink The thirteenth project meeting took place in Brzpils, Latvia between 6th to 11th May,2012.Partners from 6 (out of 14) European countries participated in the project meeting: Lithuania, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Hungary and Latvia. We hosted 9 teachers and 12 students. 2 nights teachers and students from Greece, Spain, Hungary and Turkey were accommodated in the hotel TIA in Riga as our school is far from the capital. The other 3 nights the teachers from these countries and also fron Lithuania and the two students from Hungary were accomodated in the hotel Kolonna in Rzekne while other students stayed with their partners in their families. The main aim of the fifth project meeting was to organize a conference and presentations related to the ecology of water. All participating countries prepared power point presentations and presented them to the audience which consisted of our guests from European countries, our local authorities and school community. Working programme: 6th May - Sunday We met our guests from Turkey, Spain and Hungary at the airport in Riga and all together went to the hotel in Riga. The Greek group came late at night and we met them the next morning in the hotel. After accomodating in the hotel we took out guests to have dinner in Lido Vrmantis. 7th May - Monday 7:00 8:15 Breakfast in the hotel 8:30 A small trip in Old Town of Riga. 10:00 A boat trip in Riga Channel

Everything went according to the plan. Our partners liked a lot the meeting in Latvia and highly evaluated it. They learnt a lot about our country and enjoyed its beauty. Our students gained a lot of valuable experience in the use of English and communication with the students from other countries. They established a strong relationship between themselves. During the project meeting in Latvia all the partners present here made the following decisions: 1. To make an ecological guide about water according to this content: 1- Water as a source of life 2- Water resources: their importance and utililty ( in agriculture; fishing and other...)

3- water pollution 4- Solutions to save water 2. Croatian partners should send each of the partners a password of the website to be able to upload our works and photos there. And they should make a content there. 3. The coordinator of the project have to upload our project's logo and write a general description of the project in European Shared Treasures data base. At the end of the meeting all the partners received the presents and their certificates of attendence signed by the headmistress of Brzpils secondary school. During the meeting our school gained a valuable experience in hosting partners from other European countries. It was a great pleasure to introduce to them our culture, country and customs.
