Homestay
There is a variety of types of household in our accommodation programme - from families with children, to single person households, to retired couples. All of our homestay providers have been carefully chosen and are regularly inspected. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable and all students will be provided with a place for quiet study. Manchester is a city of many cultures and this is reflected in the homestays that we use. In a student residence, the emphasis is on contact between students from all over the world and youll soon be making friends and spending time together.
Halls of residence (summer only) 100-145 You will get the best student experience staying at the University residence close to the city centre and only 15-20 minutes by direct bus from our school. You stay in a single room and share the common areas, such as the kitchen, dining and lounge areas with about 4 other students. The single room includes an en-suite bathroom and free internet, a washbasin, bed, closet, desk, etc. There is also a coin operated launderette in the building. Bed sheets are available. The residence is only available in summer from late June to early September.

If fees are paid by bank transfer, please mention the student's name in the reference section of bank transfer form so that we know who the payment is from. The copy of the bank transfer receipt should be sent by fax as proof of payment. TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Payment: An enrolment fee of 40 (non-refundable) and a 30% deposit must accompany your course application. The rest of the course fees must be paid one week before the starting date. For courses over six months arrangements can be made for payment in instalments. 2. Bank charges: You must pay all bank charges incurred when paying course fees by bank transfer. 3. Courier charges: You must pay any courier charges that are incurred if you choose to receive your acceptance letter via this option. 4. Acceptance of enrolment on a course: Confirmation of your application by the school means that you have been accepted on a course and this confirmation constitutes a legally binding agreement, governed by English law, for the period specified on the application form. If you receive your visa based on an acceptance letter from this School, you are legally bound to attend this school for the duration of your course. 5. Accommodation: This will be booked after we receive your accommodation deposit of 150. This includes a non-refundable 40 booking fee for organising accommodation. Accommodation is not guaranteed and is subject to availability. Please read accommodation terms and conditions for more details. 6. Airport Transfer: This will be booked after we receive the fee of 60 and clear and understandable flight details. Copies of tickets or ticket confirmations (in English or otherwise) are not acceptable. 7. Postponement: You may postpone your starting date but you must give the school 7 days notice. If you do not, a postponement administration fee of 40 will be charged. If you postpone more than once, then a further administration fee of 90will be charged. 8. Cancellation: If you decide to cancel your course / accommodation/ airport transfer, repayments will be made as follows: Up to six weeks before: Full amount Up to four weeks before: 50% Up to two weeks before: No refund The enrolment fee of 40 and accommodation booking fee of 40 are non-refundable. 9. Refunds: If your visa is refused, we will refund any deposit and course/accommodation/airport transfer fees paid less 90 and any bank or/and postal charges incurred. The enrolment fee of 40 and accommodation booking fee of 40 are non-refundable. To get your refund, you must provide us with a copy of the refusal letter from the Home Office or British Consulate concerned. In addition, you must inform us at least one week before your course starts. If you have requested accommodation/airport transfer, the school must be informed of refusal at least two weeks before your accommodation start date. Refunds will be made only to the person or organisation from whom the fees were received. All refunds will be made via the original payment method. You are not entitled to a refund if you leave the course early, if you are absent from class or for days when the school is closed for public holidays. Any refunds are entirely at the discretion of the school. If we are unable to offer you a place on a course, we will refund all (refundable) fees already paid. 10. Attendance: Students have to attend 80% of their course as part of the UK visa requirements, if applicable. If your attendance drops below 80% the school will send you a letter. If your attendance does not improve, we will send a second letter. If you are still below 80% attendance for your course, we will take you off the register. The school also has to tell the Home Office of this decision. Students are to tell the school of any absences, which need to be authorised by the school. The school cannot issue a certificate at the end of the course if a students final attendance is lower than 80%. The school also cannot issue a certificate if the student does not complete the course on which they are enrolled, without a valid reason. Students with one-to-one lessons need to give 24 hours notice of cancellation. Students will be charged for non-attendance if 24 hours notice isnt given.
