In this comprehensive list of Game Shark codes, you will be able to edit,
modify and manipulate basically everything you can possibly think of, or could
possibly want, even on command at the touch of a button if you choose to
understand how to utilize the Dual Activator codes to their maximum potential.
There is a stand-alone Hard Mode Code, which makes the game more challenging,
for those who are tired and bored of the regular routine and are beginning to
find the gameplay elements of the game too easy.

This document was long started before any of my other HM64 work, as I needed

to be inside the game to determine all of the other information documents I


have provided to the world wide web. There is no way to tell exactly how long
it took, but I do know just converting the raw codes I found into Game Shark
format took several days of hard work.
If there are codes you wish to see made, or think it would be really cool if
something were possible through the use of Game Shark codes, please e-mail me

in this document.

What is Dual Activator? Simply put, it is a line of code you can put before any
other single code line, that will tell the Game Shark not to activate the 2nd
line of code until a certain button is pressed (or combination of buttons).
How is this useful? Only activating codes at select times, when you want, at
the push of a button. Releasing the button causes the Game Shark to stop
injecting the code into the game.

For button combinations, you must add the buttons you wish to be pressed to
activate the code, together, using the hexidecimal format. For example:
D1170404 2030

"2030" is a combination of three buttons, 2000 + 0010 + 0020 (Z + R + L).
Therefore when these three buttons are pressed at the same time, the Game Shark
will activate the line of code directly below it, until the buttons have been
released. In this example, when you wake up say... Winter 4th. You press L + R
+ Z, then let go. You just forced the game to make the fullmoon berry plant in
the mountain summit screen appear and it will stay there until you pick it!
(Unless you sleep) How cool is that? After you pick it, you can always press
the buttons to make it appear a second time etc etc etc. The possibilities are
endless!

Animal Codes Notes:
For barn animals, you must have all 6 lines of code PER ANIMAL set to exist,
otherwise the game will not properly detect their existence. For Presence /
Location, make sure it is one of the two allowed numbers for either the
chickens or the barn animals otherwise they will not exist. Read up on
Kirbyarm's Animal Mechanics guide for details on how long condition counters
last for each condition amongst other specific details, shoul you wish to
utilize the codes here that you are not sure of.

Note: Make sure you add these as DIFFERENT codes, as they need to be separated
appropriately. So create a new code for every code number, and make sure the
code lines are in exact order for this awesome Hard Mode to take effect! You
must activate ALL of the Hard Mode codes and have them turned on throughout the
entire game to say you've beaten the game on Hard Mode, or even more amazingly,

What's so hard about Hard Mode?


-Every hour is now 45 game minutes long instead of 60, which makes days go by
faster!
-To eliminate the Medicinal Herb trick, whenever you have 97, 98, or 99
Fatigue, it jumps to 100 Fatigue!
-Snowy days will now be rainy days instead, as animals cannot find food
outdoors in the rain (including chickens)!
-If you do not meet the requirements for your wife to become pregnant on the
day Insemination Counter reaches 31, it resets to 0!
-If you ever have Honey in a bottle, it instantly turns to milk!
-Every year, Fall 10th, Fall 11th, and Fall 12th... the girls go on their
periods (for a major affection drop)! This doesn't interfere with a Full
Album run if you do it right!
-The square where you would normally be able to dig up a Broken Music Box is
now permanently a Grass square in stage 1 of growth, never can be moved or
cut!
-You must manually carry Lumber back to your Lumber bin to harvest Lumber from
the mountain! The logs re-spawn instantly!

-Medicinal Herbs are rarer now. There were three locations to find them. Now
there is one!
-The bushes in the mountains have been replaced with re-spawning small rocks,
to legitimately level your hammer up!

Firstly, I'd like to credit Rift for his initial work in the first generation
of hacking HM64. And for the second generation of hacking HM64, SomeCrazyGuy,
this shout-out goes to you! With the knowledge of these previous hacking
attempts at understanding the game and its many mechanical mysteries, I was
able to make an outline of what types of arrays and bytes I had to search for
in order to make the codes in this document and share the many possibilities
with the rest of the world!
