Performing Arts Academy Spring Musical The Performing Arts Academy presents Once Upon a Mattress for the 2012 spring musical. The story is based on the classic fairy tale of The Princess and the Pea. Laughter and antics abound in this hilarious treatment of the story, with a frigid queen, a hapless prince, a mute king, and princess whos a bit rough around the edges. Dont miss out on the many great performances from the talented cast and pit band. Tickets are only $5 for students, in advance, and $10 for everyone at the door. Adult tickets may be purchased from any PAA student involved in the musical, and student tickets are available in A1, M1, and in the quad at lunch. A special Open Rehearsal will be at 5pm, May 16 (Thursday), only $5 for everyone and tickets are only available at the door. The performances run May 17 (Thursday) through May 19 (Saturday) at 7 PM. All performances are in the Hacienda.

NEW VIP Parking: To secure VIP parking for graduation night, you may reserve your parking space today. Limited spaces available. The cost is only $25 per car. AP Chemistry. Students who are enrolled or plan to enroll in AP Chemistry must attend a

Immediately after school on Wednesday 5/30 and Thursday 5/31, Los Altos will be hosting CONQUEROR CRAMFEST. This event is designed to allow our students additional access to their teachers before the start of Finals Week. The event will run both days from 3:005:00pm. Teachers will be hosting study sessions in their classrooms and assisting students in preparing for their final exams. Please encourage your son or daughter to attend this wonderful event!

COLOR GUARD- Auditions are on 5/14 5/16 from 3pm-5pm. Come join the 5 time medal
winning Los Altos Color Guard! Please see Mr. Laging in M2 for more info. All seniors are encouraged to have their senior will published in the last edition of the school newspaper. Please ask your senior English teacher for the necessary form or come to H5 to receive one. The deadline for submitting wills is Friday, May 18. Turn them in to your senior English teacher, Mr. Rockwood, or any journalism student.

Girls Tennis try-outs will be held on Tuesday May 29 and Thursday May 31 after
school @ 3:15. You need to attend only one of those dates. OLD RENAISSANCE APPLICATIONS are now available in the guidance office. Are you an rtist? Photographer? Technology Guru? People Person? Consider applying! We are currently looking for enthusiastic, artistic, creative, fun students who are interested in joining our Renaissance Team! Completed applications are due to Mr. Reeder by MONDAY, MAY 14th. Please see Mr. Reeder in room E-1 if you have any questions.

Visual Art News: The Los Altos Art Show, Free Style will be held Monday May 21st, in
Room A6, after school, from 3 until 7:30PM.

 If you are interested in auditioning for the upcoming 2012-2013 LAHS Dance Team, there is
a parent/student information meeting on Tuesday, May 15th starting at 6:30pm in the Dance Room (A2).

If you are interested in trying-out for the upcoming 2012-2013 LAHS Cheer Team, there is a

Softball: Congratulations to Coach Nacho Hernandez and both Varsity and JV teams as they captured the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!. The girls varsity easily defeated Diamond Bar 14-3 and will have a home game next week for the CIF Playoffs. The girls JV team went UNDEFEATED in league and celebrated their victory last night at Pizza Co. Please congratulate the girls on their season and they look forward to seeing you next week as they make a deep run in the playoffs!!! Baseball: The baseball team has had a terrific second half of the season. They have competed and grinded out many victories grasping victory in the last inning many times. As a result of their work they were able to finish second in league after defeated Diamond Bar 5-1 yesterday. The boys will begin the playoffs next week and will most likely have a home playoff game. They look forward to see you in your red, white and blue cheering them on.
