The heat Representative Bachman is receiving from members of her own party regarding the Muslim Brotherhood is political correctness run amok. It is also dangerous. On June 13, Rep. Michele Bachmann wrote a letter to the Inspector General of the US State Department regarding Huma Abedin, (AKA Huma Weiner) a top aide to Secretary of State Clinton. She voiced concern that Secretary Clinton and administration officials were influenced by Huma by virtue of her relationship three close relatives--her late father, mother, and her brother who have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.1 She noted that during the course of Clintons tenure at the State Department, the US moved from a position of firm opposition to the Muslim Brotherhoods taking power in Egypt, to the new position of firm support. Representative Bachman did not say Ms. Abedin was guilty of anything but the tenor of her letter did indicate Abedins role in the administration and her security clearance is worth examining. Because the Muslim Brotherhoods "Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," says the Muslim community "Must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions.,"

I agree with her stance. I also agree with the congressional quintet2 who wrote to four other inspectors general in defense and national security agencies - each containing different information on the same theme the Obama administration is not taking the domestic jihadi threat seriously enough preferring to see it through a politically correct prism.
Senator McCain3 and Speaker Boehners4 response to this controversy is disgusting. Both count on American ignorance to support an ideological5 and politically correct agenda that threatens this country, our Constitution, and way of life. Prominent U.S. organization launched by the Muslim Brotherhood include the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim Students Association, North American Islamic Trust, The Islamic society of North America, The American Muslim Council, The Muslim-American Society and the International Institute of Islamic Thought. 2 Louie Gohmert of Texas, Trent Franks of Arizona, Lynn A. Westmoreland of Georgia and Thomas J. Rooney of Florida) 3 These sinister accusations rest solely on a few unspecified and unsubstantiated associations of members of Humas family, none of which have been shown to harm or threaten the United States in any way. These attacks on Huma have no logic and no basis and no merit and they need to stop now. 4 I dont know Huma, but from everything I do know of her, she has a sterling character. . . And I think accusations like this being thrown around are pretty dangerous. 5 Multiculturalism

The dangers and parallels of not investigating this matter and the Muslim Brotherhood exist in the Alger Hiss case. The liberal establishment including Adlai Stevenson, Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, and President Harry Truman called charges against Albert Hiss a red herring. They denied and discounted the idea a liberal could be a communist. However, history records the final nail in Hisss coffin of guilt came in the late 80s, with the release of the Venona6 files, which are decrypted spy documents proving Hiss and many others were guilty as charged. They also proved Nixon, and others were right; there was a vast conspiracy against the US--from within the US and herein lay the parallel. Ronald Reagan said, Freedom is never more than a generation away from extinction. Representative Bachmans stance on this and other issues reminds me of Margaret Thatcher. She was President Reagans partner in dispatching toxic monolithic Eastern European Communism to the dustbin of history. Her Thatcheresque quality and the quintets effort to expose the threats the Muslim Brotherhood represents to this country today is laudable. Sharia is another totalitarian ideology aptly described as communism with a god that is loaded with supremacist Islamic doctrine. I support Bachmans and the quartets fearless and visionary leadership. Since time and recent events have proven this country is threatened from within and without, I expect you to support their effort too. Yours in the Bill of Rights,
