PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPANY

GENERAL PROBLEM
There is high turnover of nurses, pharmacists, radiology technicians and physical rehabilitation technicians.
This is attributed to: Competing hospitals offer employees higher salary Employees seek greener pastures abroad Other industries, such as call center agencies, offer employees higher salary

CHALLENGES

How to hire the right people given that the company does not have an unlimited salary scale? How to retain the hired employees and entice them to stay in the company? How much to spend on training seminars for the retained employees in the hope that they would remain loyal to the company? How to make the employees feel part of the family? How to strengthen the hospitals corporate culture? How to increase the employees job satisfaction in spite of their salary scale?

SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEM

GENERAL PROBLEM
There is high turnover of nurses, pharmacists, radiology technicians and physical rehabilitation technicians.
This is attributed to: Competing hospitals offer employees higher salary Employees seek greener pastures abroad Other industries, such as call center agencies, offer employees higher salary

SOLUTIONS

The management is continuously revising their salary structure for its competitiveness with regards to other local hospitals. The management employs an effective employee selection process which prioritizes the applicants attitude rather than aptitude. The management holds training programs aimed to foster a motivating spirit for employees allowing the employees to see the opportunity for growth in the corporate ladder of the company, in terms of rank and job responsibility. The company believes in empowering the employees by trusting them to make responsible decisions. The company offers high fringe benefits. E.g. Health care benefits are extended to immediate family members. The company believes in accomplishment recognition more than monetary rewards. Employee of the Month awards are given out to employees who exhibit good work behavior.
