Do not crush or chew regular, coated, or extendedrelease tablets, and do not open regular or extendedrelease capsules; swallow them whole. Avoid whole grains, tea, coffee, eggs and milk. RATIONALE May cause gastric irritation. Photosensitivity reaction is associated. May cause gastric irritation. Hydralazine alters enzymatic pathways and increases B6 excretion to lessen levels of vitamin B6 in the body. Its absorption and or disposition kinetics may be altered fiber that would slow the rate of nutrient absorption. The use of alcohol while taking hydralazine could result in unintentionally lowering blood pressure to unsafe levels, thereby increasing the possibility of lightheadedness, dizziness and/or fainting and subsequent injury. To avoid and minimize GI upset. To avoid night time urination. Concurrent use with alcohol may increase hypotension. Increased risk of photosensitivity. To avoid and minimize GI upset. Interferes with calcium absorption.

Food reduces absorption of Ferrous Sulfate. So as not to destroy the release mechanism of the tablet or capsule. Absorption may be decreased by whole grains, tea, coffee, eggs and milk. Increased absorption with vitamin C.

contraindicated. Avoid grapefruit juice. Indomethacin Non-steroidal Antiinflammatory Drug Take with food, full glass of water, or antacids. Swallow whole. Don't open or crush capsules. Give daily dose at bedtime as needed. Avoid alcohol and anticoagulants. Avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays. Give on empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals and with a glass full of water (200ml). If GI upset occurs, administer with food, even so the absorption is excellent of empty stomach. Avoid foods containing tyramine (such as cheese, fish, salami, red wine, and yeast extracts). Avoid alcohol-containing products. Give oral form 30 minutes before or 1 to 2 hours after a meal. Make sure patient swallows tablets or capsules whole. Have patient wet S.L. tablet with saliva before placing it under tongue. Instruct patient to move slowly when sitting up or standing.
