State of the Nation Address 2012

-PNoy,2012 Personally, I am not a fan our President. During the past election I was disappointed that he was declared as the winner over the presidential position. I was so sure that the Philippines would remain static. There would be no change and it would be more depressed and deprived but while listening to his speech I am now convinced that he might be the key to the betterment of our country. We, Filipinos, are very hesitant to change. We tend to rage about different changes that will be happening without knowing that the change could bring about a benefit for us. In short, we complain first before complying with what is due. For 2 years of PNoys governance I think he had done a good job. I can say that he put his words into action like the program for nurses, which I have noticed in my affiliation in the hospital. Also the program Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is evident in different communities now. Hearing PNoys speech makes me a proud Filipino citizen because finally our country is being pulled out from the dump. The achievements he mentioned in his speech were very remarkable and only proves that there is really a tuwid na daan towards the bright future of our country.

He focused on the main problems of Filipinos like in Health, Education and allocation of jobs. Despite the different hindrances that he was faced with which he mentioned in his speech he was able to overcome them may be not all but one by one will be able to overcome them. Surely the baluktot na daan is no longer an option. On another point of view, I cant help but notice how he kept on condemning the past administration from start to the end of his speech. I guess it is really hard to forgive and forget. I think that instead of giving time in condemning the past why not think of ways to move ahead and be better. Overall his speech was well thought and brought about convincing and positive reactions to many which I think what he is really trying to go for because I myself is convinced but then again is he just saying these things because it is what we Filipinos want to hear? I hope not. But then again, nothing is impossible if we all Filipinos work hand in hand towards our goal: a better Philippines. These plans would only work if we, the citizens of the Philippines, would cooperate and support the different programs that are being introduced to us by the government. It is once said that the Philippines will not improve because of its citizens who are not open to change and who are unwilling to give their trust to the government. Lets prove ourselves wrong. Lets prove that our country still has hope.
