SLIMEFEST SECOND SHOW ADDED BY POPULAR DEMAND!


CHRISTINA PARIE ADDED TO ARTIST LINE-UP; STARS VIE TO BE HONOURED WITH FIRST KIDS CHOICE CELEB SLIME-DUNK PLUS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD SLIMING ATTEMPT ANNOUNCED
Tuesday August 7, 2012, Sydney Added by popular demand, Nickelodeon has today announced a second show for SLIMEFEST, Australias first music concert for tweens which will combine all the best elements of Nickelodeons mega-popular Kids Choice Awards (KCAs) events. The second show will take place at 11.00am on Saturday September 15 (the same day at the first announced show) at Sydneys Hordern Pavillion. Tickets for the 90min show are available now through Ticketek (www.ticketek.com.au). Also announced today is a second female to join the line-up of on stage artists: 16 year old X-Factor sensation, Christina Parie. Christina will perform her new single, "16 and Unstoppable" - in essence providing an empowered and aspirational anthem for the tween-to-teen audience. Christina has also been named SLIMEFESTs official backstage reporter, providing audiences with AAA access to the stars and uploading backstage photos, exclusive interviews and updates to The Nick Shack (www.nickelodeon.com.au) throughout the show. The audiences at SLIMEFEST will also have the unprecedented honour of participating in a Guinness World Record sliming attempt for the Most People Slimed Simultaneously, with the newly announced second show giving even more kids the chance to share in the record. Nickelodeon General Manager Ben Richardson said, We are delighted with the demand from kids and their parents for SLIMEFEST tickets, and we didnt want anyone to miss out. The second show gives even more kids the chance to experience this new and exciting concert event. We will be delivering a loud, messy, slime-filled experience in a safe, family-friendly show that celebrates everything kids love about Nickelodeon.

New slime-spraying technology is also being employed to help achieve the World Record, including the SLIMEFEST-A-TRON, an improved 360 degrees periscope which will unleash a spectacular slime-storm in the venue, first seen in last years Kids Choice Awards. Bucket-loads of audience participation and game play are being planned for both shows, including a customcreated human slime-dunking machine, which will see one lucky celeb immersed head to toe in the most in the most daring dunking ever. In the lead-up to the show, Nickelodeon will give kids the power to nominate the star that they deem most worthy of a full-body slime-submersion, with the handful of celebrity nominees and instructions on how to vote to be announced in the coming weeks. SLIMEFEST will be broadcast nationally on Nickelodeon from 6:00pm on Saturday 15 September, giving kids across the country the opportunity to share the slime experience. As well as soaking up the broadcast, kids can log onto the Nick Shack (www.nickelodeon.com.au) for a multi-platform slime experience, including Christina Parie's exclusive backstage interviews with the stars. The initial 5:00pm SLIMEFEST show went on sale on Friday July 27, with the hot tickets snapped up by parents of kids, tweens and teens, eager to experience Nickelodeons trademark massive mess and mayhem, headlined by JESSICA MAUBOY, REECE MASTIN, JUSTICE CREW, STAN WALKER, JOHNNY RUFFO and CHRISTINA PARIE.
