Today, there are exactly 13 weeks left until the November elections. We stand in a strong position to be able to win this if we all do our part. Heres where were at and what we need to do in the next 91 days to win.

Bridgets Message - Fairness and Integrity.

Simply put, Bridget Mary McCormack has pledged to use her unwavering commitment to fairness, integrity and hard work to protect families and children so they and everyone get a fair shake in Michigans judicial system. A fair shake. Thats what Bridget works for at University of Michigan Law School, where she is responsible for helping students get hands-on experience fighting for children's health, low-income taxpayers, the wrongfully accused, and business entrepreneurs. Her work as an attorney has won her the respect and recognition of her professional peers around the state, including the Cooley Law School Reviews Distinguished Brief Award. And its also why Bridget has the support of retiring Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly and the endorsement of the Michigan Democratic Party for this non-partisan race. Integrity. Bridgets commitment to bring fairness and integrity to the Michigan Supreme Court comes at a critical time. According to a 2008 University of Chicago Law School study, Michigans Supreme Court ranked dead last among state supreme courts when it came to independence, and near the bottom of the list when it comes to productivity and being influential with other state courts around the country. We need to change that. Right after she earned the Democratic Partys endorsement, Bridget summed up what she is all about by sharing a quote from former US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor: the courtroom needs to be the place where "being right is more important than being popular or powerful."

Field - Weve been busy.

I really do mean it when I say that our supporters are the best. Theyre enthusiastic, and their commitment to this campaign has truly surprised me; its unlike any campaign for Michigan Supreme Court in history. Just look at our schedule from this past weekend; Team McCormack volunteers connected with voters at the Mothers of Hope Ultimate Reunion in Kalamazoo, Grand Havens Coast Guard Festival, the "Pig Gig" at Memorial Park in Bay City, Homers Summer Festival, Trentons Jazz on the River, and the East Side Farmer's Market in Detroit. Thats just amazing. And you guys are also making a real impact online. Right now, we have 1,633 Likes on Facebook more than any of the other candidates for Michigan Supreme Court. What does that mean? Well, it makes it easier to get Bridgets message out, and allows us to engage in a two-way conversation with supporters. If we keep this energy up for the next 13 weeks, we will win.
