Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will join fellow stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the Bollywood Zone of wax figures at Madame Tussauds museum in New York on August 2. Salman Khan, who burst onto the scene with his award-performance in Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989, is one of Bollywoods most bankable actors. His latest film, Bodyguard, has become the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. In 2004, People magazine named Khan the seventh best-looking man in the world. Salman Khan is one of Bollywoods most enduring and recognizable stars, said Bret Pidgeon, general manager of Madame Tussauds New York. Bollywood exploded on the American pop culture scene several years ago and has become one of our most exciting entertainment categories. Madame Tussauds New Yorks Bollywood Zone is a brightly-coloured, fullyinteractive area that includes a replica of the Taj Mahal, videos of authentic Indian dancers and a photo area where visitors can pose with Bollywood In 2000, Madhuri Dixit and Prabhudheva set the screen ablaze with their song Que sera sera in Pukar. The duo, both iconic dancers, also performed the moonwalk in the six-andhalf minute number. And now, 12 years later, Prabhudheva will repeat the feat, dancing with Sonakshi Sinha, for an item number in Oh My God. This makes Sonakshi the only female actor, apart from Madhuri, who Prabhudheva has danced with in a Hindi film. The song, which will release on August 5, is a special Janmashtami number and has been choreographed by the actor-director himself. Ask Sonakshi about matching steps with the South star and she says, It was fantastic. When hes in the same frame as you, its really difficult. Theres not much you can do in a situation like that but pull up your socks and give it your best. With him, the bar is set very, very high. So, will the song be an exact replica of Madhuris number?
