Interactive Forum Wednesday, 14 November 2012

Technological advancement, a changing employee landscape and the exponential growth in social media has had a huge influence on the recruitment industry. Social media not only offers a viable and cost-effective way to interact quickly with an unlimited number of candidates but it also presents an opportunity to tap into the passive talent community and source candidates with specific skill sets. The main hurdle for businesses to start using social media recruitment is simply the lack of knowledge: how can social media be used effectively to recruit? What are the steps to take and measurements to put in place to make it a success? Hesitancy and lack of support from senior management is also a major challenge that recruitment professionals must overcome. This forum brings together practitioners, thought leaders and educators for an interactive discussion on these issues. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear practical case studies about how other organisations have approached these topical issues. You will explore the following challenges: Unleashing the opportunities of social collaboration platforms and recruitment Integrating social media with traditional recruitment strategies Attracting and retaining the talent with the right skills set Building an online community of talent through successful employer branding Being aware of the legal implications of social recruiting
