LEADERSHIP
Jetendra Poorun, the Managing Director of SHM, has a Bachelor of Business Science, commerce degree from the University of South Africa. He also completed an Advanced Project Management course at Damelin and has an incomplete B.Sc Pharmacy degree from University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Having spent the last ten years in the private hospital healthcare industry, he has been devoted to providing specialist hospital management services and focused management training within the private hospital and healthcare industry. His consulting focus has been on productivity, performance and profit improvement which embraced strategic planning, process re-engineering, organization structuring, management training and assisting in the implementation of recommended changes. Mr Poorun has also spent some time in studying hospital management processes and systems, particularly with the emphasis on productivity, cost and profit performance within a Managed Care and strong cost driven environment. Mr Poorun is also currently working with Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, public health to role out a hospital management course. Mr Poorun speaks, reads and writes in English, Afrikaans and Zulu.
