VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS

Pre-Race Support: Help with pick-up and deliveries to sponsors and vendors prior to race-day Race Day set-up: assemble tables and chairs, set up booth areas, hang signs and banners, and course set-up Race Support: Registration tent: line managing and coordinating, race day volunteer checkin, provide race participants with t-shirts, and participant registration Parking: provide directions/help with parking Foundation Tent: Selling Sams Sprint bracelets, sharing mission, and selling extra t-shirts Kids 50 Yard Dash: coordinate participants, set up course, assist with finish line and prizes Kids Fun Run: coordinate participants, set up course, distribute water and snacks, course monitors, and assist with finish line and prizes Finish Line: ensure that only race participants enter food/water area, pass out food/water, direct runners to finish line food/water areas. Course monitors: Assist with race course set-up & monitoring (may be physically demanding), pull signs, collect trash along course, etc. Awards Ceremony: Assist with coordination of awards Clean up/tear down: clean up trash along race course, in park, and on premises. Tear down tables, tents, etc. Kids Activities: Monitor inflatables, face-painting, coloring table, and donations for activities, etc. Squirrel Mascot: Be available for photo
opportunities, be at kids races. EMT/Nurse: Be at first aid tent/stand-by for accidents that may occur.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER
1. Print clearly or type all requested

information 2. Use only one name per form. This form may be photocopied. 3. Refer to volunteer assignments to select a volunteer position. Checks in times are noted on volunteer registration form. 4. You may sign up for more than one volunteer assignment. If volunteering for more than one assignment on race day, read the duties carefully to be sure that you can complete one assignment before beginning another. 5. If you wish to work with a group of volunteers, identify your partner(s) on the registration form and mail the registration forms together. Every effort will be made to keep you together. REMINDER: each individual volunteer MUST complete a volunteer registration form. 6. Sign and date your volunteer registration form, and mail/scan ASAP to ensure your first assignment choice. Volunteer registration forms MUST BE received by September 21, 2012. 7. Report to the volunteer table on race day for your assignment responsibilities.

Volunteer Race Day Attire: Please wear a NAVY BLUE shirt to Volunteer on Race Day. We want participants and other volunteers to be able to recognize all volunteers that day. Dress comfortably! You will receive an e-mail the week of event day detailing your specific duties as a volunteer. Please check in at the registration pavilion at Volunteer Check-In upon arriving on September 29!! VOLUNTEER WAVIER: I understand that my consent to these provisions is given in consideration for being permitted to participate as a volunteer in this event. I am a voluntary participant in this event, and in good physical condition. I have acquainted myself with that is required to perform any given task(s), and I have the training, skills and ability to perform those task(s).
