LITTLE B.R.O.
The Little B.R.O. was developed by Rixen Cableways in 2007. This short cableway with 2 towers was originally designed for the education of beginners, but it is well liked by Pro-Riders as well. Little B.R.O. is thus not only a good supplement for large cableways, but it is also used at other spots with great success, where only a small water is available Little B.R.O. was also successfully used in wintertime. Advanced snowboarders were especially appealed by riding obstacles on this system. The running cable of Little B.R.O. goes back and forth between 2 towers. The tow rope is pulled up by a pull-spring winch so that the handle always returns to the starting place above the water surface. The empty tow rope, therefore, does not cause a risk for swimmers or people waiting at the starting place. Water starts are allowed as the pull-spring always keeps the tow rope under light tension, which keeps it away from the water surface. There is a strong trend towards wakeboard-parks with several cableways that offer more capacity. In addition, different obstacles lead to greater attraction. With only little investment and effort Little B.R.O. can offers wakeboarding and waterskiing in any recreation park. Wakeboarding with the Little B.R.O. cableway requires only a minimal water surface of 30 x 60 m, up to 30 x 200 m. This is why some parks have already installed several of these small-sized and straightforward cableways next to each other, which are often booked by groups and school classes.

Wakeboarding and Waterskiing are generally considered to be difficult. Therefore, many people never dare to even try this sport especially when they have to make their first steps at the large cableway in front of advanced riders and spectators. At the Little B.R.O. beginners are among each other. They are more relaxed, because they do not need to perform better than their peers, and so they have more success. To their own surprise, many can master the start already with the first try. The feeling of success gained at the Little B.R.O. makes most beginners come back then to the large cableway, the capacity of which will then be utilized better. As beginners have learned the basics at the Little B.R.O., they will no longer block the starting area of the large cableway with false starts. Many Wakeboarders who once started at the Little B.R.O. exercise the sport for years and inspire also their friends.

Little B.R.O. features frequency regulated speed and a programmable Siemens SPS just like our large cableways. The operator controls the cable using a foolproof control panel with the buttons >Start<, >Stop<, >Back< and the program switch for the 3 modes. The easy handling allows fully attention on the customers. Due to the extra long cable of the waterproof control panel the operator can move around on the starting platform. Little B.R.O. can serve the needs of all riders due to its three different modes of operation, that can be programmed freely. It is reasonable to vary acceleration, speed, and the turning points. All parameters can be changed by the operator. With every change of riders, the handle automatically goes above the water surface to the next rider on the starting platform, which facilitates a rapid handling. The pre-installed modes are: 1. Beginner Mode (27 km/h) The speed is only 27 km/h and particularly beginner-friendly. The speed is reduced early before the deflection pulley, and the rider can either start again in the water. If more capacity is required, one can concentrate on learning the start and install a second starting ramp at the deflection pulley. 2. Pro Mode (30 km/h) In the Pro Mode, the rider can make a 180-turn at the deflection pulley without sinking. The running cable is stopped quickly and accelerated quickly into the other direction. Skilled beginners can master the turn after about one hour at the cable. 3. Pro Open Loop (32 km/h) The handle stops briefly and then goes back at both pulleys. Advanced riders can have a longer training session without interruption.

As with all Rixen products safety comes first at the Little B.R.O. > The tow rope of the Little B.R.O. is pulled up as soon as the rider drops the handle. This is necessary due to the 180-turn. Many ideas for this device are protected by patent law. > The automated course unburdens the operator. He can fully concentrate on the customers. The Siemens SPS takes up all necessary switching operations as programmed. > Most of Little B.R.O.- parts are long term approved from the big cable and allow minimum maintenance to the owner and long durability. > The Little B.R.O. is product certified by the German technical inspection agency TV.
