Our core purpose "make today delicious" captures the spirit of what we are trying to achieve as a business.

Kraft Foods Foundation Fact Sheet Our Focus: Fighting hunger and promoting healthy lifestyles around the world are top priorities for the Kraft Foods Foundation.

Today, the world faces the dual challenge of simultaneously addressing hunger and obesity. According to the World Health Organization, one in six people in the world doesnt get enough to eat. At the same time, one in five is overweight or obese. Tackling such complex challenges requires a collaborative approach involving individuals, companies, governments and civil society. Food is at the center of our expertise, and we are well positioned to create a winning recipe to address these issues. The Foundation takes a multi-pronged approach to these issues: l Investing in community programs through partnerships around the globe. l Providing humanitarian aid when disaster strikes through cash and in-kind support. l Encouraging employee contributions of time, talent and money. Our Strategy: The Kraft Foods Foundation and the company have donated more than $1 billion in cash and food to non-profit organizations since 1990. Our community-based programs span the globe and together, were making a difference for families and their communities. l Focused our giving to fight hunger and obesitytotaling $180 million in cash and food over three years. l Partnered with local, on the ground experts with strong knowledge of community needsand how to solve them. l Prioritized our efforts in countries where we could make the most impact. Making a Delicious Difference Everywhere Our partnerships work to give families a hand up rather than a handout. We focus our grant making to support organizations working to provide better food, nutrition education, physical activity and economic empowerment to create lasting change. Brazil: We launched a school-based nutrition program in partnership with INMED called Health in Action. The program will reach over

150,000 children with a specialized curriculum focusing on gardening, nutrition and health education, basic hygiene and sanitation instruction. France: Working with the French Red Cross, the Foundation is helping expand access to fresh foods by equipping Red Cross food distribution centers with refrigeration units. This enables fresh foods like fruit, vegetables and protein to get to those in need and will enable the distribution of 50 million additional meals over three years. Germany: Launched an expansion of Klasse2000s healthy lifestyles program to an additional 900 classrooms in Germany. This comprehensive in-school curriculum from 1st grade through 4th grade focuses on promoting healthy living with sessions about physical activity, better food choices and avoiding violence and addiction. Indonesia: In collaboration with Helen Keller International, were helping to establish women-operated farms in rural Indonesia. These microfarms will reach 25% of the regions population, (the vast majority of the malnourished) and drive economic empowerment and food access for women, who tend to reinvest 90% of their incomes back into their families. Italy: Focusing on 10 at-risk communities in Italy, the Kraft Foods Foundation is partnering with Save the Children to bring Ready, Steady, Gonutrition education workshops and fitness programsto schools, sports facilities and community centers. This program will reach 32,000 children plus their families. It was awarded the 2011 NGO Week Ethic Award. Philippines and Indonesia: In partnership with Save the Children, we support FRESHa community-based program that provides meal distribution and nutrition education, reaching more than 180,000 children

and families at risk of malnutrition and hunger. It was awarded the 2010 Asian CSR Award for Poverty Alleviation. Russia: We partner with Charities Aid Foundation in the US and in Moscow to teach school-aged children across Russia how to make smart food choices, cook healthy foods and become more physically active through the Be Healthy program. Our Partnerships: Fighting Hunger & Encouraging Healthy LifestylesSpain: In partnership with Alcia Foundation, this school-based effort is led by trained teachers and encourages students to take an active role. Students participate in cooking and physical activity workshops, track their food choices and physical activity, and then submit proposals with plans for their school to improve its nutrition and activity levels. United Kingdom: We support Health for Life, a five-year program for young people and families in South Birmingham that promotes fun, healthy lifestyles activities. We partner with several local organizations including Life Education Centres West Midlands to bring healthy eating, cooking and physical activity programs to the community. United States: In partnership with Feeding America, we launched the Kraft Foods Mobile Pantries, 35 refrigerated trucks bringing fresh produce, meat and dairy to underserved communities. Since 2009, the fleet has been busy bringing 25 million meals to our nations food deserts, with a goal of delivering 40 million meals by the end of 2012. United States: To address food deserts across the US, were helping increase access to fresh foods in urban and rural communities. This supports The Food Trusts advocacy work to increase grocery store development and revitalization across 8 states. United States: Salsa, Sabor y Salud is the first healthy lifestyles program

designed for Latino families. Developed with the National Latino Childrens Institute (NLCI), the program employs the unique traditions of Latino family gatherings to teach and model healthy living choices. Over the course of the three year partnership with Y-USA and NLCI, well bring the program to 130 communities across the country. We pride ourselves on being the neighbor to rely upon, so we reach out to help when disaster strikes. In communities around the world, we provide cash grants to relief organizations that support victims of natural disasters like tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. We work with the American Red Cross and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to target our assistance. And, during times of crisis, employees pitch in too, by making cash contributions and volunteering with our partners. $14 million donated in cash and product for disaster relief since 2000 from the company and Foundation 120disasters we responded to since 2004 Lending a Hand When Disaster Strikes: Humanitarian AidWhether its packing food at a food bank, planting a vegetable garden, or building a playground, Kraft Foods employees around the world believe in giving back to their communities through donations of time, talent and money. Were proud of how the Foundation and the company come together, roll up their sleeves and lend a hand. Giving Time and Talent l Year round, employees give back in the communities where they live and work. They give time through traditional volunteering and they share their professional expertise (such as accounting, marketing and food science) with nonprofit

organizations all around the world through skills-based programs and an online volunteering programmicrovolunteering. l Our annual signature volunteer event is Delicious Difference Week, a global week of community service. In just three short years we have doubled our difference and our efforts. In 2011, we had 26,000 volunteers in 72 countries and partnered with 350 non-profits. l We recognize individual all-stars with the Delicious Difference Award for outstanding volunteer service. In 2011, five Kraft Foods employees from the US, UK, Kenya, Mexico and Venezuela were honored for their commitment to service and received grants for their non-profit partners. Giving Money l The Foundation maximizes employees personal contributions to causes that are important to them by matching their cash donations and awarding grants for volunteer time. l Annually we support hundreds of non-profit organizations with nearly $4 million through our Matching Gifts, Dollars for Doers and Delicious Difference Week grants.
