Established in 2003, Academy of Technology is one of the most acclaimed self-financed engineering colleges in West Bengal. It has been established by Ananda Educational Development & Charitable Organisation (AEDCO), a trust under the chairmanship of Prof. Jagannath Banerjee, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. In a metamorphosis of over 9 years, Academy of Technology has been reinventing itself constantly to explore the infinite possibilities of engineering and technology - an academy that inspires everyone to think differently. Departmental Laboratories
A total number of 75 high end IT and Core engineering laboratories adhering to the requirements of university curriculum under eight academic departments. Many higher semester core and computer laboratories are equipped with industry compatible experimental setup and software based simulation platform beyond university curriculum to provide the students a cutting edge in campus placement and professional career. 05
Computing Facilities
The computing facilities of Academy of Technology consist of: Total 710 nos. HP/ACER/Sun Blade Workstations and other relevant hardware in computer & core engineering laboratories, digital library and academic departments, networked with 10 Mbps Cisco networking tools. 5 high end Servers which include Sun UltraSparc IIIi with Solaris 10 & JAVA ES and 4 IBM Servers. Total 47 nos. latest Application Software, System Software and Compiler. Wi-fi Campus with 40 Mbps 1:1 leased line internet connectivity supported by OFC.

Central Library
A well-designed building with covered area of 6800 sq. ft., the Central Library of the institute presently consists of 39200 volumes of text books and reference books and more than 4000 titles on all relevant subjects. More than 3890 national and international journals and proceedings from IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, ASTM, J-GATE, magazines, back volumes of periodicals and national dailies are available in the Central Library. The collection is growing both in quality and quantity with regular addition of new books, journals and reading materials from time to time. Book Bank facilities are also available to every student. Library is fully equipped with Libsys, Web OPAC and also ensures availability of Audio-Visual & Reprographic facilities. The Library remains open on all working days, on academic weekends and vacations.
Digital Library
Digital Library of Academy of Technology is accessible from everywhere in the campus and is resourced with: Online subscribed Journals E-books Question Bank Video Lectures GATE study materials 400 open access e-journals Tutorial CD/DVD Service Online Assessment Software DELNET
Digital Library is equipped with IBM X3400M3 Intel Xeon 5506 (Quadra Core) Series, 15 P-IV Workstations, internet connectivity and other relevant hardware and software. Video Conferencing and Satellite Interactive Terminal of ISRO (EDUSAT) has also been installed in Digital Library. 08
Quality education starts with its educators The Academy believes in creating an environment that helps the students to enhance their intellectual, emotional and physical development. Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Bhattacharya, the renowned Professor of Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and the Director of Academy of Technology, leads a team of 127 qualified and experienced faculty members conforming AICTE stipulated teacher student ratio of 1:15. 13 faculty members of Academy of Technology are PhD and 20 faculty members are pursuing PhD and most of them are about to complete. All other faculty members are with M.Tech/M.Phil or with Master degree in the relevant branch of teaching. Average teaching experience of faculty members are 10.1 yrs and almost every faculty member in CSE, ECE, AEIE, EE, IT and MCA departments are Senior Members/ Members of IEEE. Faculty members of Academy of Technology have authored 14 books and published 59 papers in national/ international journals in the last one year. Attendance
Regular class attendance is fundamental to the orderly acquisition of knowledge. In Academy, utmost importance is given to regular class attendance which is a responsibility and a prerequisite of engineering education. Students should recognize the advantages of regular class attendance, accept it as a personal responsibility and apprise themselves of the consequence of poor attendance. Minimum 75% attendance in all papers is mandatory for appearing in University Examination as well as in Internal Examination.
Academic Integrity
Every individual student, faculty and staff of Academy of Technology believes that unfair examination system, whether it is home assignment, internal examination or university examination, is the ultimate violation of academic integrity. It is an already established fact that our examination system which is conducted with utmost integrity makes our students hardworking and motivated, and thus enables them to get right placement and/ or opportunity of higher studies through competitive examinations.

Campus Communities
Academy where the zeal of extracurricular activities is limitless and a deep sense of belonging prevails. One can get into everything in the community life of AOT campus. This community brings together students with diverse backgrounds, varied preferences and different temperaments to share a common platform where they can showcase their talents in dance, drama, music, songs and every other forms of performing art. Every year community members of ARDOUR organize ARCADIA the most vibrant socio-cultural event of the campus. The collective efforts of this community on creative writing, painting, quiz, debate, photography and other spheres of creative performances round the year enrich the campus life manifold. HUMATRONICS the annual talent search competition and WALLZINE the magazine published by ANALECTS has been widely acclaimed over the years. AOT's students won accolades in such prestigious events as NDTV Tech Grand Master, INFOCOM national open quiz and 19-20 Crossfire. The student community for games and sports promotes different inter and intra college competitive events in athletics, basketball, badminton, cricket, football, table tennis and volleyball and to give a strong thrust in these activities AOT organizes dedicated and round-the-year coaching. AOT is champion of inter-college basketball meet of WBUT and winner of several gold and silver medals in intercollege athletics meet of WBUT. AGILE maintains ADROIT the sophisticated Institute Gym which aims to bring health awareness to AOT students. It is a facet of aspiring engineers of AOT to show the world their unmatched innovations spanning several spheres of software, hardware and robotics. Every year TECH-FIESTA, the State level Tech Fest of AOT, is organized by ACUITY the community for technological innovations. During the national robotics event TECHNICHE at IIT Guwahati, though defeated by IIT Kanpur, the 2nd prize winning team, AOT defeated the team from IIT Kharagpur. Contributing to social causes in a structured manner, ACCLIVITIES the community for NSS and Social Service has been an integral part of AOT over the last two years. Members of ACCLIVITES organize NSS activities, awareness programmes in adult education and computer literacy and also campaigning against pollution, tobacco, drugs and alcohol addiction and ragging. AOT is a ragging free campus and the credit goes to the community members of ACCLIVITIES. 13

Road in the industrial region of Hooghly under Kolkata Metropolitan Development Area, West Bengal, Academy of Technology is only 200 meters away from Adisaptagram Railway Station, next station to Bandel on HowrahBurdwan main line [Eastern Railway] and only 65 minutes journey from Howrah Railway Junction. Kolkata airport is only 47 km away. Kanchrapara Railway Station (North 24 Parganas) is 9.4 km and Kalyani Railway Station (Nadia) is 10.4 km from Academy of Technology. Institute's Bus service is available from both railway stations.
