Welcome to Dinosaur King DS for the nintendo Ds,A production of Sega.

Dinosaur King is an RPG(Role Playing Game).You will travel the world in
search of your 7 stolen/missing stone fragments.Throughout the story,
you will encounter many dinosaurs,Battle many Alpha Gang Droids and their
leader,you will also meet many people,some are in trouble and in need of
your help,others will offer mandantory quests with rewards if you
completed them.

First,about myself,I am a Dinosaur fan and I love Dinosaurs.Dinosaur King is

an Arcade game,A Ds game as well as an anime.Most Dinosaur Fans will love
this game despite it is mostly meant for kids.However,I do not work with
or in the Sega Company.
Incase if you are wondering.Dinosaur King Ds is a rock,scissors,paper game.
You are given an option to choose either one of them,the opponent will
also choose one move.If that move wins.You will get to do some damage
to the oppoment.If the opponent wins,you will not be able to even attack
on that turn.
First of all,there are many SPOILERS in this walkthrough.So beware
when reading!

Game Basics(4)
|
=======================================================

Attack Power- It determines how much damage you will inflict on the
opponent.
HP- The Hp is your Dinosaur health.
Technique- It determines the speed of Mp regenaration.
Mp- When a move is used,It will take up some Mp,If you use the
same move continuosly,You might run out of Mp and you will
not be able to use that move.Some Mp is recoved in a turn.
Speed of Mp is recoved in a turn depends on your dinosaur's
technique.
Critical Move- They are the moves with a jagged shape like thing around
them,usally bigger than the other two moves.Critical moves
has a higher attack power than the other two moves.
Move Cards- They are moves that you can equip on to your dinosaur
,If your dinosaur has a 500 attack power for scissors
example,and you equip Heavy Kamikaze Tackle(1.5dmg).
The damage (Hp)that you will inflict on your oppoment
is 750.A dinosaur with a scissors critical move will
learn mostly scissors move,same goes for paper and stone.
Super Move- They are move cards that has a certain attribute but at
the cost of higher Mp.These super moves can only be used
by a dinosaur of the same attribute as the move. The player
cannot use an element card if the element of the dinosaur
does not match card the element of the Super Move.
Example,Tyrannosaurus,a fire attribute dinosaur can only use
the move red swing.It cannot use any other moves except
normal or fire attribute moves.However,All dinosaurs
regardless of the type could use Alpha moves.Alpha moves is
only learnt by Alpha dinosaurs or super Alpha dinosaurs.While
Super move cards can only be learn by dinosaurs with that
attribute.Example.Megaraptor can learn Mayfly,as both of
them are wind attribute.Unlike move cards,Scissors Super move
cards can be learnt by both dinosaurs with either stone or
scissors as their critical moves.Paper can be learnt by
scissor and paper critical move dinosaurs,While stone can be
learnt by both paper and stone critical move dinosaurs.
Attributes- There are a total of 7 different attributes.Fire,water,
Lightning,Earth,Grass,Wind and Mystery.
Fire is weak to water but strong to Wind,Water is weak
to lightning but strong to fire.This is how it goes.
Wind>Grass>Earth>Lightning>Water>Fire>Wind
Mystery types(Rainbow types) have no strong or weak attribute.
Types- There are 6 different battle types:
Type -Deals more damage in battle.
Type -Have higher HP.
Type -Do more damage in a tie and recieve less damage in a tie.
Type -Atack power increase when the move is press immedaitely after
the battle started.
CounterStrike -Raises attack power every time this dinosaur gets damaged.

Crisis Type -Raises attack power when Hp is low.
There are also super battle types such as super attack type.In
this case,the damage given to the opponent is much more,Or the
effect is increased.
Battle Field- When a super move is used,If the move is to make a [type]
battle field.It will make a[type]Battle field.If there is
another type battle field on and the dinosaur uses a super
move that will make a wind battle field.The Whole battle
field will be changed to wind battle field.All attribute has
their type of battle field,Only Mystery moves(Not known).
Items- These are useable items.Mostly needed when you are on the
adventure.Some of these items restore your Hp,radar battery,
make more Alpha droids appear or stop them from appearing,
boost the amount of exp you get after a battle and shares the
exp gain for other dinosaurs.The others are mostly for sale.
Treasure-These are golden colour box found in the game,Inside them
Chest
either has an item,map or a fossil.
Quests- Most Quests are optional,Doing them might reward you with
items or even fossils.Some dinosaurs can only be obtain by
doing the quest.Some quests can only be done once while
some others can be done mutiple times.
Rartiy- (Aka star count).This is a very important part to determin
how strong your dinosaur is.A dinosaur with a high star count
will have higher Hp and attack power but a low technique.And a
dinosaur with a lower star count will have lower Hp and attack
power but higher technique.Technique affects how fast Mp is
restored in a turn.The lowest star count is 1,Highest is 6.
However,Eoraptor has 6 ?(Question mark) instead of six stars.
Maps-These are usally located near the entrance of the place.When
obtain a new map,the map is shown on the top of the DS screen.

The Digging System(5)

You will first get to use your drill and radar after you talk to the guy
close to the bridge in North Euro Plains.As you get further into the game,
You can upgade your drill and radar at Europe and Asia Respectively.
Here is an example:
White, the color of the dot that the fossil will appear on when you use
a radar,Different dot colour requires different Drill to dig up.
White : Need the basic radar and drill.
Yellow : Need the advanced radar and drill.
Orange : Need the super deluxe radar and drill.
Red : Need the Ultimate radar and Master's drill.

You will be able to upgrade your radar and drill as you proceed in the game.
Excavation Radar :Starting point of the game.
Deluxe Radar :Go to East Gobi Plains.
Super Deluxe Radar :Trade for a Gemstone
Ultimate Radar :Complete the game(credits)and go to East Gobi Plains
Mass Production Drill :Starting point of the game.
Custom Drill :Arrived at Asia.
Special Order Drill :Trade for the Superalloy.
Master Drill :Complete the game and go to The drill man in Europe
Europe :Need Basic Drill and Radar for European Fossil.
Asia :Need Advance Radar and Drill for Asian Fossil
North America :Need the Super Deluxe Radar and Drill for North Americian
Fossil anf Dino Feces.
Antartica :Need the Super Deluxe Radar and Drill for Antartica Fossil,
Master drill is not required.

What is the highest level my dinosaur can go to.Answer,level 99.
The exp given in random battles are always according to the dinosaur level.
Here are some caculation of the Exp needed per level:
Note:Any Level After 51 takes 6500 Exp to level up.
After you clean a fossil,Minmi will say any of these four lines:
You are a real pro at cleaning : The Dinosaur will be at level 16
Congratulation,you have cleaned finished the fossil : Level 9
Oh no,the pic broke and you are so close : Level 6
The secret to cleaning is to only pic at the part where the fossil is: Level 3

Tips and Hints(7)
|

Tips:
1)Click on Ctrl and F for easier search of keywords.

2)Cannot find the dinosaur you want?Here is a very useful tip,Enter the
location where you want to look for that certain dinosaur and use the radar,
once you found the dot,Dig it,If it is a fossil,good for you.Exit that area,
enter again and dig on the same spot where you just found the fossil.There
is a chance that you will dig up another fossil.Repeat this as many times as
you want until you are satisfied.Good Luck.
3)Whenever you have to make an option with only two moves,the opponent would
usally say either of these two lines.
Urgh,A Condrum:When this happens,use the countering move.eg.Scissors or
stone,stone.Paper or scissors,paper.Stone or paper,paper.The opponent will
also use the same move,and both will recieve damage from the draw.

I can tell exactly what you are thinking(or something like that):The
opponent will counter your countering move,so use the move that is weak to
the other.eg.Scissors or paper,Paper.Stone or Scissors.scissors.Stone or
paper,stone.
4)Connect 50 times to Nintendo Wifi for Megaraptor,Very Useful when you just
started/restarted the game.

Before We begin.[bwb]
-----------------------Hi,Welcome to the Walkthrough part of the game.
Resse had just completed inventing the Dinoshot,A device that can transform
Dinosaurs to life.And the Alpha Gang is out terrorizing the world,And it is
up to you and Max/Rex to save the world.The Alpha Gang also took away your 7
stone fragements.
The First Battle[gc0]
------------------------Before the first battle.You will have to choose between Max and Rex.
Max has a Triceratops,A Lightning Dinosaur.Rex has a Carnotaurus,A Wind
Dinosaur.For me,I choosed Rex,Mainly because he looks cooler and he has a
Carnotaurus,A wind Dinosaur.Helpful for the scissors wind move of my
Megaraptor.Whoever you choose will only use a different dinosaur and get
another different Dinosaur after a certain battle.It does not affect most
of the gameplay.
Chapter 1:Europe:Euro Town[c1e]
-------------------------------After choosing who you want to play with.You will learn how to battle,the
first battle is so easy that you are prevented from losing as you cannot
choose any other move other than the one which will win.Learn the basics
of battling and win.Simple.The first Dinosaur you will ever battle with is
Tyrannosaurus.After the win,Dr Z will ask you for your name,Don't be shy and
type your name.
Note:You can change your name at any D Lab.
Europe Side Quests:

After completing the first battle,you will be in the D lab.Resse will ask
you to talk to everyone in the D Lab,do so and she will assign you a misson.
You will be teleported to Europe in a while.
Immediately after you reach Euro Town,Go into the buliding infront of where
you are standing(D site Branch)and select connection room,click connect to
Nintendo Wifi Connection and wait.After successfully connecting,wait for
the topic to load and exit by pressing the 'b' button.Repeat this steps 50
times.And you will get a free Megaraptor.Megaraptor will be very useful at
the begining of the game considering it is a 6 star power dinosaur.If you do
not have Wifi,then unfortunately,You will not be able to obtain Megaraptor.

At Euro Town,Talk to the mayor there(the man next to the building)and he will
tell you about the area.After that,go to the north of Euro Town,Talk to the
guy blocking your way and head on.There,You will Encounter Ed and 2 Alpha
Gang Droids.They seems to be picking on that girl and you will need to battle
the droids in order to rescue that girl.The Droids uses an Irritator,Follow
Resse instruction and you will win this battle.
After winning the battle,Ed escaped and the Droids exploded,The girl thanked
you and gives you a Mystery Fossil.Clean the fossil and get the Irritator.
To clean fossils,go to the D -site branch and select restoration room and
select the Mystery Fossil.Use your stylers and tap on the parts only where
the fossil is,If you see any golden like thing/dust(and you will probably
see some),Blow into the screen and the dust will go away.And you just
finished cleaning your fossil.

After Cleaning the fossil,Talk to the man near the D site Branch,The one next
to a big drill and he will ask you to help him in a quest.Accept it and head
North.Once you reach a pool of water,Turn East(Right).Continue straight and
recieve a North Euro Plains Map.Then head into that cave(North Mine).
Once you enter the cave,Go East,Then North then East again and you will find
a North Mine Map,Navigate your way with the North Mine Map.You might want
to battle an Alpha Gang Droid for both Exp and a free Medium Dino Drink.
Just head West after battling the Alpha Gang and into the Darkness and once
You reached the other room,You will find a treasure Chest,Open it and recieve
A Medium Dino Drink,Also,Once you get yor Radar,Use it at that spot and get
some rare items!
Once you are ready,Go to the Very top part of North Mine and battle that
Alpha Gang Droid.
Dinosaur : Iguanadon
Attribute : Grass
Level : 3
Once you Defeated Iguanadon,You will recieve an item,Go back To Euro Town and
trade that item for the Mass Production Drill and Excavation Radar.
Once you got the Drill and Radar,Head North and you will meet a man standing
infront of a bridge.Talk to him and he will teach you how to use the Drill

and Radar.Press R then A to use the radar and L to dig,Digging is very

important as you will need to dig up some items and use them to advance
further into the game.Also,Digging is the best way to find a Dinosaur Fossil.
After learning how to use the drill and radar,Follow the map and you will
eventually meet a person blocking a bridge.Talk to of him and he will say
that his leg is injured and wants you to look for his son,Teleport or head
Back to Euro Town and head South until you meet a Guy blocking the way.Talk
to him and then return to the place where you spoke to the mayor.He will also
be there and after talking to the mayor,he will go back to his house and you
can cross.Go down until you you reach the end and then turn Right and recieve
a Small Dino Drink.Then head North a litte then West and enter the North Dig
Site.
If you head West,You will see an Alpha Gang Droid attacking a man
Talk to either one of them and you will battle the Alpha Gang Droid.

Once you reach a path that has two ways where you had to choose to either go
up or down,go down and recieve the Map,then head North and prepare for
another battle.
Dinosaur:Allosaurus,Dacentrutus

Attribute:Wind,Grass
After battling,You might want to battle another Droid guarding the secret
room.When you win that droid,Go into that Dark Area and recieve a Workbook
when enter the secret room and open the treasure chests.Then follow the map
until the end of the room,you might also see another Alpha Droid but it will
not allow you to battle it until you reach a far point in the game.Head on
and you will meet laura,SAVE Before Battling her.

All of your Dinosaur needs to be at least at level 9.
Tips.
Ceratosaurus shouldn't be a problem,save,see what is the first move,off and
on if the move counters,A fire dinosaur would work well here,Either way,
The move Fire power would be good.Ceratosaurus is a 4 star rarity dinosaur
but it should not give you too much of a problem.
Alpha Dilophosaurus is much more difficult despite being a 1 star dinosaur
but could be handled with ease if your dinosaur level is high.
Depending on what she says,use the following tips to help you.
Critical Moves Are No No:
She will counter your critical move and occasionally uses your dinosaur's
Critical move.
Critical Moves Are Scary:
She will use her own Critical moves and occasionally use the move that is
weak to her dinosaur's critical move.
I'll Show Ya What A Girl Can Do:
She will use her Dinosaur Critical move.
In an option between two moves:
What Should I Do?:
Use the Countering move among the two and both Dinosaur will recieve draw
damage.

garden,as he lost it.Head down until you see a guy in a coat,and then turn
right(from the direction your character is facing),press 'A' when you are
infront of the glittering thing and you will get the key to the garden.Go
back to the garden and talk to the owner of the garden and he will just take
the key and enter his garden.Once he is inside the garden,he will be attack
by an Alpha Gang Droid.So prepare for another fight and save him.

Euro Plains and go to the Southern part of the map,then head West until you
reach the forest.You character will automatically play the flute and a
Leaellynasaurus will appear.It will fetch you across the forest and to an

After the battle with rod,You will hear that Gobi Village is struck by a
sleeping sickness and you will need to find Zander and defeat him.
Don't worry about that first.Focus on getting the Asian Iron,It will
allow upgrade you drill and also allows you to dig for Asian Fossil as they
are much deeper than European Fossil and require a much better drill and
radar.
Talk to the guy at the South of Gobi Village and he will tell you that he is
frustrated that his Asian Iron package did not arrive on time And he will ask
you for your help to find the mechant,Accept and go to South Gobi Plains,
Instead of going South all the way,head East at the point where you can go
then South and you will get to battle an Alpha Gang Droid.

After that battle,Continue South until you see a man in blue,he is
the mechant.Talk to him and he will say that he is injured and you will
automatically offer to help him and he will hand you the parcel.Continue

frustrated customer,he will be delighted and he will give you the Asian Iron.
Teleport using the D Site Branch to Europe and talk to the drill man,He will

upgrade your current drill to a custom Drill.

Talk to the radar guy at Gobi Village(the one near the big antenna)and he
will need you to find for him a Bamboo,Go to South Gobi Plains and then go
to Bamboo Moutains(South then West)and get the Bamboo,Return Back and have
your radar upgraded to a Deluxe Radar.
At the East of South Gobi plains you will encounter another Droid.

can talk to him,you will need to battle another Alpha Gang Droid.

Continue walking after the Village Elder said his piece and you will come
across a man who will say that he saw the bandits running away from the Alpha

Gang Robots.And they are at the South of this place,So head South and find
the Alpha Gang Robot,Grab a Medium Dino Drink on the way.

After this battle,the bandits will tell you that they forgot where they hid
the Dragon Skull,Although they knew it is burried somewhere near Crescent
Pond.
So go to Crescent Pond which is located at the Top East corner of East Gobi
Plains.Grab an Advance Workbook along the way.The Dragon Skull can be found
at the very end of Cresent Pond and you must have the Advance Drill before
you can dig the Dragon Skull.
Got the Dragon Skull,Return to Gobi Village and talk to the Village Elder in
his house(Top left house of Gobi Village).He will tell you to put the Dragon
Skull back at the SouthEast lake of East Gobi Plains.
As you are heading to the lake,You will notice a damaged bridge that prevents
you from crossing,But after you had dug up the Dragon Skull and spoken to the
Village Elder,A man will be there to repair the bridge but he will need a
stone weight.If you fought Bully Droid 3 before,You will be able to get a
stone weight.If you did not battle it,Go and battle the droid(NorthEast of
South Gobi Plains).
After you give the Stone Weight to the man,He will repair the bridge and will
give you a Metasequoia.You can trade it for a certain dinosaur Mystery Fossil
with the man in South Gobi Plains.You will also encounter another Droid.

A fire trainer,Carnotaurus is weak here,But Irritator could show off its
power,Luckily,the 4 star dinosaur (Torvosaurus) is at a low level,So using
Irritator to take it down would be your best bet,Acrocanthosaurus is
even easier than Torvosaurus despite the level difference,While Alpha
Gorgosaurus could be tricky,It might be more difficult to handle
so make sure you prevent it from setting up a field or it would be
dangerous.

Go to the D site Branch once you talked to the scientist and teleport to
Europe and talk to the Drill man,He will upgrade your Drill,Then teleport to
Asia and talk to the Radar man,He will upgrade your Radar.Teleport to North
America again and talk to Sheriff Watt in his house,But it turns out that he
is not there.A lady guarding her house will say that he had went to South
Dust Hill and you will need to find him there,so just head to South Dust
Hills by going past the gate at the SouthEast of Dustberg.

Once you defeated Ursla,Go and get the Great egg and teleport back.
Go back to the place where Sheriff Watt(South of South Dust Hills) was and
talk to him.He will agree that Holiday is Innocent and it was actually Dory's
doing.You will need to go back to Dustberg and find Sheriff Watt,Talk to him
and he will need you to place the Great Egg back at its original place just
above the place where he(Watt) was Standing.But before you place it back.
An Alpha Gang Droid whom Disguised himself as a traveller.So prepare.

According to Max and Rex,Deinonychus is a rare kind of Dinosaur.But lets
ignore that first.Once you put the Great Egg Back in it's place,A pteranodon
will fly down and give you a ride across the lake.You will also get a Shell
Miror which can be use to call Pteranodon,However,Only in certain places.
After crossing the lake,Head down and talk to that gentleman and he will ask

you to identify a Family photo,Go back to the D Site Branch and Minmi will
help you to identify the photo.It turns out that it is a photo of a
Tyrannosaurus.Go back to the same place where that gentleman was and talk to
him,He will give you a note.Continue going North for a Large Dino Drink
and then teleport back to Dustberg and head to West Dust Hills,Follow the
instructions on the note and start from the entrance of West Dust Hills.
Once you dig up the fossil,Guess What it would be?
Go back to South Dust Hills and ride the Pteranodon.This time,move East
instead of South and follow the route until you reach the Alpha Gang
Warehouse.

everyone and then,according to Resse,Dr Z has kidnapped Zoe.You will be asked
to go to Antartica and save Zoe.Once you reach Europe,Head to the East of
Euro Town,The area which was previously inaccessable will now be accessable.
The only thing you will see there is a teleporting machine.Step on it and
teleport to Antartica.Once you are there,Grab the map and follow the way
until you reach the Alpha Gang Secret Base.Grab some items on the way.
It would be good to buy lots of manuals or workbook to use here.

best is probably Eoraptor.It has the ability to use all the super type
moves,And has a rather high technique despite its high star count.
Saurophaganax however has an extremely high attack and Hp compared to
others but with a very low technique.But the negative side is that they
are usally blocked from using the same move muplitle times.
