Restaurants around the Mediterranean are world renowned for producing the very best cuisine and dining experiences. From the simple taverna and ristorante in Greece and Italy to the finest restaurants in Nice and Marbella, the choice is endless and exciting. At Barts we have recreated a fantastic and mouth-watering variety of authentic dishes, right on your doorstep. The only thing we cant provide is the sea. The secret is that just like restaurants all around the Med, we are a family run business with a passion for delicious food, we only use the best and freshest ingredients and of course our chefs, David & Sonia, were born and raised surrounded by such fantastic food. They perfected their skills working at top London restaurants and have created an innovative menu that is a whirlwind tour of the Region for your enjoyment. Each dish is prepared individually to your order to suit your taste.

Our beef and lamb are sourced from British farms and we only use free-range chicken and eggs. We use sustainable native fish wherever possible and, to avoid air-freighting, we buy British seasonable fruit and vegetables. We are sure you will enjoy the dining experienced that is Bartss and, for a short time at least, imagine you are soaking up the atmosphere of warmer climes.

The perfect way to start and set your taste buds alights whilst choosing your meal! Some dishes can only be pan fried to infuse all of the flavours and we have chosen a selection to appeal to every palate.

A fillet of sea bream, crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, served on creamy lemon mashed potato, garnished with lightly dressed rocket salad.

Often eaten instead of steak, the melt in your mouth texture is every bit as satisfying. A tender grilled tuna steak perfectly accompanied with a warm roast Mediterranean vegetable salad and finished with homemade anchovy butter and Maldon salt. Served with deep fried, seasoned, chunky chips.

Grilled Meats
At the heart of any Mediterranean restaurant is the grill, where the meat can release its flavours and any fat can be burned away. They know a bit about healthy eating over there! At Barts we prepare our grilled meats the European way, with subtle seasoning to bring out the taste and ensure that it arrives succulent and tender. All grilled meats are served with deep fried, seasoned, chunky chips, dressed mixed leaves, onion rings and our special Barts butter, made with our secret and delicious recipe to add that final touch. Our steaks are directly sourced from a number of West Country farms, are aged for a minimum of 21 days and are prepared by our chefs to bring out the true flavour of the meat. The weights shown are for a typical portion before cooking.

How to order your steak:


Rare: Almost raw on the inside but seared brown on the outside, the classic way to enjoy the full flavour. Medium Rare: Firm on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside, which is mostly pink to red Medium: Browned on the outside with a more pronounced band of pink in the centre Medium Well: Mostly browned throughout with a hint of pink inside Well Done: Browned throughout occasionally charred on the outside
