Holy Communion is open to all Christians. The Bible says A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. (I Cor. 11:28). We take that to mean that the only test before coming to communion is that of self examination. If you have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord and intend to live the new life in obedience to God you may partake with us. This table is not the Cumberland Presbyterian table. It is the Lords Table. He wants all His children to come eat and drink with Him and with each other.

Lectionary

Thought for the Week

ometimes we as Christians need to stop along life's road and look back. Although it might have been winding and steep, we can see how God directed us by His faithfulness. Here's how F.E. Marsh described what the Christian can see when he looks back: The deliverances the Lord has wrought (Deut. 5:15). The way He has led (Deut. 8:2) The blessings He has bestowed (Deut. 32:7-12). The victories He has won (Deut. ll:2-7). The encouragements He has given (Josh. 23:14). When we face difficulties, we sometimes forget God's past faithfulness. We see only the detours and the dangerous path. But look back and you will also see the joy of victory, the challenge of the climb, and the presence of your traveling Companion who has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.

Welcome to Worship
elcome to New Hope Church, a place for new beginnings! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Here is some helpful information as you join us in worship today: All who worship here are equals in the sight of God, regardless of race, age, gender, physical disability or religious affiliation. Communion, when celebrated, is open to all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, whether affiliated with this church or not. Children may partake of Communion as well, if parents approve. A nursery is available during the service; please see a greeter for directions. (This is for infants and children up to 3 years of age.) Handicap-accessible restrooms are located off the narthex (foyer) and adjacent to the entrance lobby in the Fellowship Hall/Gym. Please remember to sign the attendance folder at your pew so we will have a record of your visit with us today. Thank you for remembering to silence your cell phone during the service. No food or beverages in the sanctuary, please. If you arrived as a visitor we hope that you leave as a friend and worship with us often! New Hope Church exists to: Glorify God in worship and rejoice in our life together; Share the Good News of the Gospel in word and deed; Reach as many as we can with the saving love of Jesus; Help each person grow toward Christian maturity, and find their place of service in the church and in the world.

New Hope Choir Led by Ben, the New Hope choir is more than just a choir. It is a small group that meets on Sunday evenings to, yes, practice some songs, but also to fellowship, express concerns, reflect on a devotional together and pray for one another. Those in the choir are blessed to be in it together. Join the choir and find out why! They meet every Sunday evening at 6:00. Stephen Ministry is a program that selects and trains laypeople for Christian care giving. Stephen Ministers in our church are certified and trained to help people go through the many transitions and challenges in life. Our Stephen Ministers serve anyone in need, both within and outside the church. Call the church office if you are interested in receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program. Stephen Ministers are the CaregiversGod is the Curegiver!
