A brand new venue for our summer Mixer was the JW Marriott. The event was held in the JW Marriott Mixology Lounge. Despite the rainy weather, folks came out! The event also highlighted the cooperation of two Chapters, WCR Western Michigan and WCR-Lakeshore Chapter coming together to create a truly memorable and classy event. In attendance was former WCR State President, JoAnn Hatfield, Doug Merriam, MAR, Gene Szpeienski, Treasurer Elect, MAR and Jay Spencer, the newly elected Plainfield Township Supervisor.

LEADERSHIP NOTES...
One of the most important elements of the Womens Council of REALTORS is to develop Leaders not simply reproduce Followers. The Western Michigan Chapter takes this responsibility seriously and has provided opportunities for members to serve in various capacities and to attend local and national meetings for those in Leadership roles. This year, your leaders will be meeting together on September 29th for a Leadership Retreat which is being billed as L.E.A.P. 2013. L.E.A.P. stands for: *Leadership *Envisioning/Education *Affirmation *Participation During this half day retreat, we will focus as a LEADERSHIP TEAM on where we are and where we need to go. We welcome your input. If you are interested in a serving on the team next year, let us know. If you know of someone who would be excellent in a leadership role, please take the initiative and invite them to a luncheon or one of our events. Remember, we all succeed when we work together.
