AUGUST 27, 2012


Key: [Incident], [Location], [Military Time] Stolen Vehicle, Harris Ave / Ivy St, 1654, Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled and led the police on a short vehicle pursuit. The pursuit came to an end when the car crashed into a fence in the 3900 block of Presidio. The passenger ran from the stolen vehicle and was ultimately detained by officers. The driver, Justin Dobrowski, 30, was on active parole and booked into county jail on violation of parole, evading police and possession of a stolen vehicle. The passenger, Stephen Reeves, 20, was booked on his two active felony warrants and for running from the police. Traffic Stop, Colfax St / El Monte Ave, 1848, Officers made a vehicle stop and recovered a shotgun. The driver was unaware of the weapon in the vehicle and the gun was booked for safekeeping. Traffic Accident, 500 block of Calvados Ave, 1928, Officers responded to a vehicle accident involving a 2-year-old child. The child ran out into the street and ran into a vehicle that was traveling on the roadway. The driver was driving at a slow rate of speed and was able to stop quickly. The child ran into the side of the vehicle and only sustained minor injuries. The child was transported for evaluation as a precaution.

AUGUST 28, 2012


Suspicious Occupied Vehicle, Northgate Blvd / Rio Tierra Ave, 0030, Police made a vehicle stop on a vehicle and contacted 19-year-old Emilio Lopez. Officers found that Lopez was on probation and a search of his vehicle revealed a loaded handgun. Lopez was booked on multiple weapons charges. Assault, 100 block of Sconce Ave, 2307, Dispatch received a report of shots fired. Police responded and the crowd dispersed. Police Helicopter Air1 saw one subject removing an item from his waistband and placing it under a parked car. A ground officer detained that subject and found that the object placed under the parked car was a loaded firearm. Konesavanh Phongviseth, 24, was booked without incident. A residence was struck by bullets, however there were no injuries reported.

Medical Aid, 900 block of North Ave, 0034, Officers responded to a report of a suicide. Police responded to found the adult male deceased from a selfinflicted gunshot wound. No signs of foul play. Traffic Stop, Grand Ave / Fig St, 1257, Officers made a vehicle stop and contacted a parolee with an outstanding parole violation warrant. The 21year-old parolee was arrested and booked without incident. 927P, Dry Creek Rd / Neal Rd, 1307, Officers conducted a vehicle stop on a suspicious vehicle. The occupant was contacted and found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. Joshua Howe was arrested without incident on weapons charges. Subject Stop, 2000 block of South Ave, 1449, Units contacted 38-year-old Donald McAllister. McAllister was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant

AUGUST 30, 2012


Burglary Report, 3400 block of Branch Street, 0810, Victim returned home to find his residence had been burglarized. Property was taken and there is no suspect information at this time. Sexual Assault, Alvarado Boulevard / Rivera Drive, 1450, Sacramento Police responded on a report of a sexual assault. The adult suspect and juvenile victim are known to each other. James Williams-55, was arrested for sexual assault charges stemming from this incident. This investigation is ongoing. Assault Call, Northgate Boulevard / Highway 160, 1738, Patrol officers responded to several subjects engaged in a physical altercation. Several subjects had been in a verbal altercation that turned physical; resulting in the victim being struck with a blunt object. The victim sustained moderate injuries to his upper body but refused any medical treatment. The suspects were unable to be located by responding officers. The suspects are described as four white male adults on bicycles. During this investigation officers contacted a witness to the assault who was in possession of an illegal weapon. Robert Cotter-40, was arrested and booked for weapons charges. Arrest, 1300 block of Dixieanne Ave., 2006, Officers conducted a check of the Light Rail Station. Suspect John Paulin-47, was contacted and taken into custody for his outstanding felony warrants out of Nevada County.

AUGUST 31, 2012


Assault, 300 block of Fairbanks Avenue, 0007, Officers responded to a call regarding someone who had been shot. Officers believed multiple shots were fired from a vehicle at the victim. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening injury. Shooting, 1400 block of Rene Avenue, 0231, Officers responded to several gunshots being fired in the area. Officers were unable to locate any victims or suspects in the area.

Child Endangerment, 400 block of Arden Way, 1326, Officers were dispatched to a report of a parent hitting his child. Upon arrival officers determined that the juvenile had a minor injuries. The suspects son was taken into protective custody and treated at a local hospital as a precaution. The suspect was charged with child endangerment. Traffic Stop, Marysville Boulevard / North Ave, 1935, Patrol Officers conducted a traffic stop. Officers searched the vehicle and located a stolen gun. Also located in the vehicle was marijuana and brass knuckles. Both occupants of the car were arrested. Traffic Stop, Arcade Blvd / Clay St, 2325, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen motorcycle. The driver, Felicia Boutte, was arrested without incident.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2012
Robbery, 2800 block of Norwood Ave, 1202, Victim was robbed at knife point by a male Black suspect with dreadlock type hair. The suspect stole money and then fled on foot. The victim was not injured. Subject Stop, 1500 block of Nogales St, 2135, Officers made a stop on two subjects finding one with a machete. The other subject was arrested for parole violation. Disturbance, 1500 block of Nogales St, 2213, While on another stop, a call of a disturbance involving a shotgun got broadcasted. Officers contacted the involved parties and determined it was a family argument between father and son. The shotgun was taken for safe keeping.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2012
Shooting into Dwelling, 2900 block of Rio Linda Blvd, 0000, Police were dispatched to a report of shots being fired. One bullet struck a home and casings were found in the street. A witness described a pick-up and a white 4 door car shooting at each other on Rio Linda Boulevard. Dog Bite, Rio Linda Blvd / Eleanor Ave, 1217, Officers were hailed by a female victim who advised she was confronted by two large pit bulls that were running around in the area. The female was bit, but denied medical attention. Officers were able to corral the two dogs in a yard of a gated apartment complex. The owner was located and took possession of the dogs. Investigation was turned over to Animal Control. Foot Pursuit, Forrest St / Calvados Ave, 2300, Officers attempted contact with a subject that officers believed to be carrying a gun. The subject was lost after he jumped fences in the area. A perimeter was established, but the subject ultimately eluded capture.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2012
Shooting, 2900 block of Rio Linda Blvd, 0000, Officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired in the area. Officers determined that a residence had been struck but no one injured as a result of this incident. This investigation is ongoing. Subject Stop, Forrest Street / Calvados Avenue, 2300, Officers attempted to conduct a subject stop when the person fled from officers on foot. A perimeter was established and the area was searched by a police K9. The subject was unable to be located. Domestic Disturbance, 1200 block of Grand Avenue, 0705, Officers responded to assist on a domestic disturbance. Shortly after officers arrived they were confronted by extremely aggressive dogs. One of the officers, cornered by a vicious dog, shot at the dog in self-defense. Animal control arrived to assist the injured animal who is expected to survive. Stolen Vehicle, Arden Way / Exposition Boulevard, 1000, Officers observed a suspicious occupied vehicle. The vehicle was found to be stolen and the driver was taken into custody and booked on vehicle theft charges.
