Dear area Farms, Businesses, Organizations and Artists,


MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT AWARE OF THE GREAT NUMBER OF REMUS AREA PRODUCTS AND RESOURCES! OCTOBER 13 FALL FEST IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE OURSELVES.

The Remus Area Historical Society is planning the 2nd annual Fall Fest for October 13, 2012, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities will occur in the museum, outside the museum, across the street and downtown. The event is designed to draw visitors from the area and beyond with family friendly, educational and fun activities. Three new historical displays (veterans, churches & recreation) will be unveiled at the museum from 10 to 11 a.m. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. an all-you-can-eat meal will be offered at the Wheatland Township Hall (featuring locally produced foods if possible) and a photography show and contest will be held next door. There will also be a scare crow contest, butter making, apple cider making, rail splitting, antique tools and farm implements, product sales, a farm market, baked goods, crafters, vendors, petting zoo, and, horse-drawn wagon rides. This will be an opportunity to celebrate the areas rich natural resources and the wide spectrum of local products such as cheese, honey, popcorn, potatoes, corn, strawberries, beef, sheep, evergreens, mulch and more. We also wish to inform the public about locally manufactured products. We invite you to reserve your space now. If your booth is informational only, and you bring your own table, tent and set up for a 10x10 space outside; there is no cost though donations are appreciated. You are welcome to distribute materials or giveaway items. To confirm your booth space, please email museum@winntel.net or call Char Lenon at (989) 967-8153. If you plan to sell an area made product at your booth, and bring your own table, tent and setup for a 10x10 space outside, the cost is a donation of $10. If you wish to reserve space under our tent, and bring your own table, the cost is $20 per 10 X 10. To confirm your booth space, please email museum@winntel.net or call (989) 967-8153. Arts and crafts sales will be at the Wheatland Township Hall; the cost is $20 using tables as available. To confirm your arts/crafts space, please email Jann Parks townefabric@ispmgt.com or call (989) 382-7365. A Photography show and contest will take place at JWs the eatery on the west end of Remus.
