Help Needed College Fairs

During the past two autumns, more than 100 Utah graduates living in California and Texas have represented the U at college fairs in their area. Most of the college fairs take place in high school gyms and last for about two hours. We will have a table assigned to us, and students will pick up admissions and program information. All of the supplies and training that you need will be provided to you during a training meeting the second half of August, 8/21. The fairs start in early September and extend into the second week of November. If you would like to help, please respond with your name, address, phone number and preferred email address to Paul Browning at pbrowning@sa.utah.edu. He will then contact you about the college fairs that will be held in your area and invite you to indicate which ones you could attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about your alma mater.

Make sure to mark your calendars

Saturday, 9/15 9 p.m. - BYU Saturday, 9/22 Time TBA ASU

Future Watch Parties will be announced as they are scheduled.

KYLE HOGUE REGIONAL MANAGER, PRIVATE WEALTH GROUP

The Bond Market of Tomorrow

September Meeting with Lord Abbett The discussion will address the affect of interest rate manipulation on the products and services that we as consumers use every day to fund our businesses, pay for gas and groceries, buy our houses and vehicles, and drive our economies. Well understand how lower interest rate environments impact wages, prices, housing and inflation. Well also talk about how to prepare for rising interest rate changes and what that could mean in the future as we look at how this same pattern has been repeated historically.

Kyle Hogue, a Regional Manager within Lord Abbett's Private Wealth Group, is responsible for working with investment advisors and wealth managers to help them identify investment solutions for their clients that best address portfolio needs. He is based in northern Texas. Mr. Hogue joined Lord Abbett in 2008 as a Regional Consultant within the Private Wealth Group. He provided financial advisors and their clients support within Lord Abbett's mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and business retirement plans. Mr. Hogue earned a BS in kinesiology and sports management from the University of Texas in Austin and a masters in business, with a concentration in international commerce and marketing, from the University of South Wales, in Sydney, Australia.

PAC-12 Network Update

Email from the PAC-12 Network We're currently gearing up for the Network's launch on August 15th, with a primary goal being able to reach over three million Pac-12 alumni across the country to show "The Power of the Pac". We will be the only collegiate network that's solely owned by the conference, so all revenue goes back to the 12 institutions. The video link below for Utah flashes the "I Want Pac-12 Networks" website at the end, where alums are encouraged to email their cable provider if they will not receive the Network come launch day (it will be carried on Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, and Bright House). Once on air, we'll cover the major sports of football, basketball, and baseball, as well as the Olympic sports. If possible, it would be fantastic if you could spread the word to your friends, family, and co-workers about the launch. I've included the Utah-specific video that went live. Should you have any questions about the Network, or how we can further assist you, please let me know. Thank you and Go Utes! Natasha PAC-12 Network
