MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA PUBLIC NOTICE Dated: 25/08/2012 It is brought to the notice of all concerned that the Regulations framed under Section 33 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with prior approval of Central Government provides for following time schedule for admission to the M.B.B.S., Postgraduate and Super-specialty medical courses. Universities, Medical Colleges, institutions, State Governments including all authorities granting admission in medical courses mentioned above are hereby directed to strictly adhere to time schedule for admissions in various courses laid down in the Regulation failing which the appropriate proceeding prescribed in the Regulations of Medical Council of India shall be initiated and contempt proceeding as envisaged in the judgment of the Honble Supreme Court in Priya Gupta vs. State of Chattisgarh rendered on 8.5.2012 is also likely to be initiated.
