history is in many ways like a good play. When going to a play, one generally asks certain questions such as who wrote the play, who is the hero, who is the villain, and what is the plot. Upon answering these questions, we are able to make sense of and enter into the story in a meaningful way. Likewise, each day people are born onto the stage of history where they will say their lines and act out their part without any concept of who the Author of life is, what great cosmic struggle they find themselves in, who the Hero and Villain are, and how they relate to the plot of which they are a part. - Helmut Thielicke (19081986)

Ministries: Co-founder of DREAM International Creative Ministries (DREAMiCM): Established in 2007 with the burden of providing discipleship resources and events for youth and young professionals of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Programs such as Journey to the Cross (Jesus Life-DeathResurrection activity), Dare2ACT (development camps), Leaders Huddle (leadership workshop), and Youth Connects (CLC yearly youth summit) have been meticulously shaped for todays generation youth and culture by repainting the same bible truths. DREAMICM also acts like a network of ministries, joining and connecting others with like-mined missions and ministries. Icons is a ministry of senior youth who in their area want to empower youth to be financially independent. Team Kanlungan is another branch of DREAMICM which has a mission to bring the gospel to orphanages around metro manila. Over the past years, the DREAMICM AUP Chapter has been committed to being an in-campus ministry facilitating contemporary small groups and worship programs for non-SDA students and fraternity members by being a second family that is Christ-Centered. Many of the students after graduation commit year to DREAMiCM so that they may too be a mentor to other students. Small group materials are based on the E.P.I.C Life group modules of DREAMiCM. *Empowering People In Colleges Co-founder of Simply Missions: A small group for centered on teaching Christology and participating the Missionology. The idea was born with a concept of discipling young professionals to become urban missionaries in their workspaces, universities and local communities. Friends (small groups) meet up at local cafes once or twice a week, enjoy early morning sports, after work dinners or any spontaneous meet ups. Modules are drawn from the E.P.I.C Life group (Engaging People In Communities) that reveal the epic story of Jesus Christ but in a manner that can be passed on through small talk of everyday conversation. Those who are involved with SM make it an objective every two months in which they would join together with other small group and partake in a community project such as a medical mission or food giving. One of the many great experiences brought by Simply Missions Paseo is fruit of baptism and commitment to the SDA mission. Russel, A now active leader of DREAMICM was baptized into Christs family last year by Pastor Ron Genebago after being a part of the casual ministry of Simply Missions and experiencing Journey to the Cross.

Philosophy of Youth Ministry I desire to see youth live in such a way that is pleasing to God and worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The purpose of my role as a youth worker in the culture is to build up, encourage, and equip young people to be examples in speech, in living faithfully through all things, in self-sacrificial love, and in purity of heart. Teaching and Fellowship I am committed to teaching the Truth found in Scriptures to young people so they may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Peter 3:18; Colossians 1:9-10). I desire to use the Word of God to train, counsel, equip, and encourage young people to become committed followers of Jesus Christ so that they may live a life that faithfully represents the Gospel of Christ. Discipleship Youth today live in a world with conflicting messages that are constantly competing for their attention and focus. More than ever, it is important for young people to be connected with mentors and trusted leaders in the church that will encourage youth to become grounded in the basics of the Christian faith, which produces an unshakable foundation.

Evangelism In a Youth Ministry setting, I often focus on training young people to share the Gospel message with their peers so they may lead others to Christ. I want individuals to be confident in their ability to share the Gospel message with people they encounter on a daily basis. Also, I want to be certain that each young person clearly understands the importance of verbally sharing the Gospel message with those whom Jesus misses the most. Serving others It is important that young people are provided with the opportunity to serve side-by-side with other Christians for the purpose of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. This can be done by serving in the church, in the community, and through mission opportunities. Summary Everything I teach and plan is selected to mold individuals into disciples of Jesus Christ, so they can be examples in their homes, schools, communities, and in the church. The purpose of my role as a youth worker is to build up, encourage, and equip young people to be examples in speech, in living faithfully through all things, in self-sacrificial love, and in purity of heart (1 Timothy 4:12). When a young person lives as an example in these ways, he or she will be effective in making an impact in all settings of their life and God is continually glorified. Neither program nor personality alone can bring about these qualities. These qualities can only come about by God miraculously regenerating a sinner's heart when a person repents of their sin and submits his or her life to Christ (Ephesians 2:1-10). When the Gospel is faithfully preached and the Bible is accurately taught, the Lord will be glorified and lives will be forever changed through the working of the Holy Spirit in genuine conversion. Even though it may not appear to be culturally relevant, God's timeless Word needs to take center stage in Youth Ministry settings so that young people have an accurate view of God, His nature, and His inspired Word.
