Ko te Mana te Mea Nui Honour Above All Good afternoon all. the weather here in little old Waiouru hasn't been terribly good and we have been stuck inside a fair bit this week. On the plus side, this means the snow is building up on the mountain, therefore we will have plenty to play in on our school snow day. It's so wonderful that we have this resource right on our door step, so we might as well make the most of it. There are not many children in this country who can say their whole school got to have a trip to the snow. Luckily RAL recognises the importance of these Education Outside the Classroom experiences and provides district schools with very reasonable rates for skiing and snowboarding. We will be sending out the ski trip newsletter on Monday, with costs, timings & options to make this trip less of a financial burden. Today an additional newsletter is also going home to all Year Three to Eight students with information in regards to the Ohingaiti Tough Kids Challenge which will be next Friday 14th September. This is going to be very exciting as it was a roaring success last year. We will all travel down on the bus in the morning. Please let us know if you are keen to help out on the day. Have a great weekend everyone. I have my fingers crossed Sunday is sunny and fine so I can do a little reconnaissance up the mountain - perhaps take up my RAMs forms and analyse the risks to my aged knees on the skis ;-) Goodness life is hard lol Marama.
