e have submitted two photo entries to the Women Making Democracy Work photo contest sponsored by The Springfield League of Women Voters. The goal of this photo contest is to focus on women making democracy work. Photos should tell the story of women in public policy service, women as government leaders or the ways women impact our democracy. In submitting the photos, we had to answer the question How does this woman affect public policy or campus policy? We responded by stating that we are leaders in the community, and our leadership influences those around us. We often have to set and enforce policy through advocacy and education within the group.
