Recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) and Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Delhi Development Authority (DDA) invites bright and dynamic Graduate Engineers in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to join our team of Delhi Development Authority. Online applications for GATE-2013 has commenced from 1st September, 2012 and closes on 30th September 2012. Number of vacancies. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) Total 20 (UR-11,OBC-05,SC03,ST-01) Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical)- Total 03 (UR-03) Note : DDA reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of posts as per its requirement, at any point of time. The eligibility criteria and application procedures are d e t a i l e d below: Educational Qualification For Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) - Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. (b) For Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) - Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

Note: 1. Candidates in the final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, they must fulfill the eligibility criteria in all respects w.r.t. educational qualification, age, etc. and if such candidates are short listed for further selection process, they will have to submit documentary proof of having passed the degree examination latest by 31st July 2013 or before the final outcome of selection whichever is earlier. Age Limit as on 01.01.2013

Between 21 to 30 years as on 01.01.2013 (relaxable for Government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central government) from time to time. Concessions/ Relaxations Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/ PWD (degree of disability 40% or above) will be as per Government Policy. Age relaxation : Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as under : SC/ST - by 5 years OBC (NCL) by 3 years* PWD - by 10 years (13 years for OBC (NCL) and 15 years for SC/ST categories) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL) & PWD categories will need to furnish valid caste certificates & PWD Certificates respectively as per the formats prescribed by Government of India. * For getting the benefits of reservation under OBC (NCL) category: (i) The name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the Central list of other Backward Classes (ii) The candidates must not belong to creamy layer. The candidates will need to furnish their OBC (NCL) certificate as per the format prescribed by Government of India and the date of issue should be on or after 1st September, 2012. * For Civil Engineering relaxation of PWD of following categories : (OL-One Leg, OA-=One Arm, HH=hearing handicapped) Age relaxation by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen as prescribed by Government of India. Medical Standards Candidates provisionally selected by DDA will have to undergo a Pre Employment Medical Examination. The health of candidates will be assessed by Authorized Medical Officers/nominated hospitals and the appointment will be subject to meeting the medical standards as per rules. Relaxation of medical standards for PWD (Persons With Disability) candidates: Candidates selected under PWD category except the handicap for which relaxation is acceptable, must be within the prescribed normal range of all other physical standards. PWD candidates would be required to furnish valid Disability Certificate duly stamped & signed by a medical panel empowered for the purpose and should comprise of 3 medical practitioners from Govt. hospital or Medical board.

SELECTION PROCESS

On the basis of GATE-2013 marks in the Civil, Electrical / Mechanical disciplines, candidates would be shortlisted to undergo a selection process based on Personal Interview, or any other selection tool that may be considered appropriate, at the sole discretion of DDA. Please note t h a t participation in the various stages of recruitment / selection process i.e. GATE-2013, personal interview, pre-employment medical examination etc. does not confer any right to an individual for employment with DDA. Training & Placement: Candidates selected would be on Probation for a period of two years and would undergo the required training. Salary. The post of Assistant Executive Engineer is equivalent to Group A post of Govt. of India. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance & other allowances as applicable to central government employees are applicable to the post. HOW TO APPLY 1. Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) and Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) will be required to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2013 (GATE-2013). Date of online examination for Civil Engineering on 20th January 2013.

3. Date of offline examination for Electrical/Mechanical Engineering on 10th February 2013. Above schedule is subject to the decision of the GATE-2013 organizing committee which will be applicable to this recruitment drive by DDA.

5. Candidates need to apply / register ONLINE for GATE-2013 through any of the websites mentioned above from 1st September 2012 to 30th September 2012. Application process for GATE-2013 is entirely ONLINE. 6. Candidates will require their GATE-2013 Registration Number for applying to DDA. The registration number will appear on the GATE2013 admit card of the candidates. The admit card can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites of IISc and 7 IITs. No other number (for eg. GATE-2013 Application / online form no. etc) should be entered as GATE-2013 registration number while applying to DDA. 7. On downloading the GATE-2013 admit card and receipt of GATE registration number, candidates need to apply online on D D A s website. The relevant link will be made available from 24.12.2012 on DDAs website i.e www.dda.org.in./jobs/jobs.htm. Candidates must enter the same name as they have entered while applying to GATE-2013. (For example, if the candidate has entered Ashok Kumar Nagar in the ONLINE GATE application, he must enter Ashok Kumar Nagar (exactly same spelling) while applying to DDA. He must not enter A K Nagar or Ashok K N agar etc. while applying to DDA).

9. 14th February 2013 is the last date for submitting the ONLINE application for DDA.

General Instructions. 1. 2. 3. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Candidates must have an active e-mail id, which must remain valid for at least next one year. Candidates presently employed in Central/ State Government, Autonomous bodies and PSUs must submit 'No Objection Certificate' of their employer at the time of interview failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the selection process. Such candidate should also submit a print out of the online application through proper channel by 28th February 2013. Candidates belonging to OBC category, but belonging to creamy layer would not be entitled to the benefit of reservation and should apply as un-reserved candidate. Candidates not found to be meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be rejected at any stage of the selection process. DDA reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter the recruitment process, if the need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter. In the event any candidate attempts to use external influence for the purpose of facilitating his/her selection, it would result in automatic cancellation of his /her candidature. While applying for the above post, candidates must ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and the particulars furnished are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment / selection that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will automatically stand cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any Notice, as the appointment would be deemed to be void abinitio. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Delhi.
