Venture Capital Financial Analyst - 2013 Spring Undergrad Intern

Location: New York, NY Department: Principal Investing/Portfolio Operations Type: Internship Min. Experience: Student (College) ff Venture Capital (ffventure.com), an early-stage venture capital fund based in midtown Manhattan is seeking undergraduate interns for the 2013 Spring semester: January-May (approximately). This is an ideal position for a current student who is interested in learning more about venture capital, entrepreneurship/startups, investment research, and social media. The role is full-time during the Spring, and can also extend to a summer internship by mutual agreement. Your hours are flexible. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET OUR REQUIREMENTS BELOW. IN PARTICULAR, PLEASE NOTE OUR REQUIREMENT THAT YOU COMMIT TO 30+ HOURS PER WEEK. COMPENSATION + $7.25 per hour. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES + Marketing of ff + Standardizing portfolio operational support + Due diligence of potential investments + Business model research + Financial modeling + Industry trend analysis + Other strategic initiatives REQUIREMENTS + Passion about our vision. + Highly motivated self-starter who has a track record of continuous self-improvement, high achievement, and aggressiveness. + Strong analytical skills. High attention to detail. + Strong writing experience. Particularly value a high GPA in writing-dependent courses. + Familiarity with major online networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) + GPA over 3.5 + sign of significant success in at least one discipline, no matter what that is, e.g., won a chess championship; captained a varsity sport We also value: + Belief in the Edward Tufte school of communication. + Strong verbal communication/sales skills. Experience in debate, public speaking, and theatre is
