Friday, October 26
The Family Fall Festival will be on Friday, October 26th from 5:30pm-8:30pm! This year we are planning to have the fall festival activities outside, in the back of the school, and on the playground area (for the older children). We will have mini carnival games and a bounce house for our smaller children inside the gym. We will also have a market place bazaar inside the gym so you can get an early start on your holiday shopping. We will need lots of volunteers so please come early to help us set up for this family fun event! To beat the long lines you can purchase discount game and meal tickets before the Fall Festival. Bounce house, hay ride, and rock climbing wall waiver forms can be downloaded from our website. Meals and drinks will be provided by our very own, Karens kitchen. Dont forget to wear your costume, bring a carved pumpkin for the family pumpkin carving contest, bring money to purchase gifts from our vendors, a bag to hold all your candy and goodies, and a lawn chair or blanket to lounge outside!

Where: When: The week of Oct. 15-19 will be our third annual "Music in the Dark" week in music class! Our black lights will be up, the music room decorated, and wonderful activities will be enjoyed by all! Please remember to wear a WHITE SHIRT to music next week!

Lexington-Richland Five Seeks Community Input on Magnet School Concept IRMOSchool District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties needs the opinions of students, parents, and employees to help develop a district-wide magnet school plan to expand choice options across the district. Magnet Schools are public schools of choice that serve children at all grade levels and offer a distinctive curriculum that focuses on a single theme. Themes can vary widely from performing arts to engineering.

Dutch Fork has been awarded a $1500.00 Litter Trashes Everyone grant from Palmetto Pride to be used to purchase items that will support our recycling program.

The district has developed three brief surveys (that take no longer than 15 minutes to complete) to gauge interest from the community, determine where the magnet schools will be located, and what themes will be offered. Responses will also be used to develop a proposal for grant funding to support the districts magnet initiative. Parents, teachers, staff and students are encouraged to provide input by going to the links below and completing the appropriate survey.
