OUR CUSTOMERS
OUR CUSTOMERS Our customers are manufacturers of a very large range of end products: truck covers, pool liners, sun shades, structures, tents, billboards, oil booms, tubes, water- and airtight products and much more

WHAT IS HF WELDING?
WHAT IS HF WELDING? The process of joining together two or more layers of PVC/PU with electromagnetic waves under pressure:
power generator creates electromagnetic waves (27,12 MHz) supplied to the material through a welding tool electrode pressure added activates the molecules within the materials the materials softens and fuses by frictional heat the molecules intermingle and a welding seam is created no external heat supply

Strong seams at least as strong as the surrounding material Power, pressure, welding time and cooling time

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 1/3

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 1/3 Hot Air / Hot Wedge
Thin materials only Risk for overheating of material Time consuming Weaker joints Gases Higher energy consumption

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 2/3

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 2/3

Glue
- Time consuming - Weaker joints - Solvents

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 3/3

HF COMPARED TO OTHER JOINING TECHNIQUES 3/3

Sewing
- Not air- or watertight - Weaker joints - Risk for dirt and bacteria between layers
